Exactly, for all we know he ripped them a new one in the dressing room, you don't run to the media with that, it stays in the room

For sure, Shorty and Garrett commented on quite a few of his penalties earlier this year as being reputation penalties

okay, but what about the next 20 games, the guy only shows up once in a blue moon, one game does not make a season

c'mon seriously how much of an upgrade would he be, once every 25 games or so, no different than Loui and we would be stuck with the guy for an extra year

I have to wonder how much watching his little brother not turtleing against Subban the night before played into that lol

He doesn't have to fight but it would be nice to see him throw his weight around a bit, he's a big boy it would be nice to see him staple someone to the boards instead of peeling off

You are so right Deb, I just picked the first five that came to mind, but now that I'm actually putting some thought into it there are so so many.

I'm not a beer drinker but I would buy a case or two for those banners.

1) Kirk Mclean getting a standing ovation at the Montreal Forum after being named first start. (I still think to this day that he should have won the Vezina that year) 2) Gino Odjick scoring on a penalty shot on Mike Vernon and his celley afterwards 3) Greg Adams scoring in the second overtime against the Leafs to send the Canucks to the '94 finals 4) Henrik scoring on Roberto Luongo for his 1000th point 5) The class the Oilers fans showed the Sedins in their final game I could go on and on, been watching this team since day one, there have been so many for me but those were the first 5 that jumped out for me. I'll throw in an honorable mention, Falling asleep listening to Jim Robsons voice as a kid, never could make it through the 3rd before passing out

I agree, I don't understand some peoples hate for him, I guess people just look at his size and expect him to be Pronger, but that's not his game, it's his mobility and he's very good at it, he's a huge upgrade over Pouliot or Hutton.

This is very different from the Hamhuis situation, we are sitting in first in the division in control of our own destiny as far as the playoffs go, back when we tried to trade Hamhuis we were out of the playoff race, I think Tanevs experience and what he would bring for the young players would far out way a 2nd 3rd or 4th round draft pick who may or may not ever see an NHL game 3 years down the road. He earned it, and looked really good on the first line and Arrow, I don't even know what to say about the stuff your spewing, just unbelievable, childish, I don't think you have a clue about the game and don't even bother responding because I will not engage with your garbage. I really think you guys have forgotten what we have had to put up with the last few years, just enjoy the ride.

That's more something you do when your out of the playoffs, when your in the position the Canucks are in you go with what you know.

Since Brian Burke made that statement he has had nothing but high praise for Quinn, even saying Quinn Hughes is his pick for the Calder

Those were two trade that laid the foundation for the Canucks '94 run, I don't think fans from that era will forget those trades, but I do agree with you I think we got pretty spoiled by some of the moves The Mighty Quinn made.

He is progressing, every year he has put up better numbers than the year before and this year his over all game is much better than previous years.

I think there is more to it than just that, Green rewarding Jake for his strong play of late and trying to create 3 potential scoring lines probably has a lot to do with the move

The morning guys said the idea came from fans texting them, emailing them, from reddit and hfboards, it was not there idea, controversy gets ratings, heck it made me listen through 15 minutes of commercials just to hear what the NHL exec had to say, unless it's a deal that blows JB's socks off I just don't see it happening
