Not a big deal but I am just wondering why they haven't tried this. If our home logo is the white orca, how come it isn't the big logo at center ice? It would make way more sense. I know it's white but if you look at the red wings logo it's also white and red. Why can't it be blue and white. I think it would look way better than a mix of colours the way it is now. Home logo should be at center ice. I also don't understand why they don't incorporate the Canucks logo into the red line. Always feels like they miss the bar on the little things.
This honestly wouldn't work for our huge logo? Be easier for whoever is painting it as well.
It is not painted. It is printed, placed on the ice and then flooded over.

Good news. Great work ethic. Amazing skills and very accountable.

Well, sometimes it makes people want to bang their heads against their monitors…
I was assaulted at work by a patient. My last concussion was moderate and it has taken almost 2 years to have less daily migraines. The meds help and a monthly shots costs my boss $700. During the first five months, I could not even look at a TV/computer. Hard part still is getting my heart rate up, as it triggers. I feel for Tucker.

Probably the end of the road for him (once you have to resort to a PTO from a team like the Yotes).
Still, even if he never plays another NHL game, he has over 660 NHL games under his belt. Not too bad for a 13th overall pick.
Mentally rolling back to many years ago, he is washed up... seasons later

There were some vocal fans on here that thought he was washed up. Clearly he was not. Sad to say that I have heard this chant towards other players as the years have passed too.

I literally have no idea how Fanatics swept up the entire sports merchandise industry. They have their hands in everything.
Honestly, just go get knockoff stuff from DHGate or something. Screw Fanatics.
Make products as cheaply as they can and charge high prices.
Or, make products as cheaply as they can and charge high prices with the plan to sell it discounted.

If it was based on skill sets alone, the Bedard thread should draw 1000+ pages.
But at least you and I are on page 2.

Found great humor in this post. As for the redneck-esque type, many Canadians fit that bill. Heck, ever been to Tofield, AB? How about Nanaimo and its bathtub racing? Does watching The Red Green Show fuel your passion for duct tape? And does listening to the song Out for a Rip get you patriotically going?

Fantasy Summary
A massive presence on the back end who skates like the wind and possesses a booming shot. Given the right opportunity could become a multi-category stud. Getting him back across the pond will be the challenge.
LOL right back at ya'!
Looks like he is on the A&W root beer team.

Does worker's compensation in BC cover these guys too? It has been discussed in other jurisdictions. If not, at least Bear does not have to deal with the workers compensation system like we do. But if he is covered, depending on the injury, he could have lifetime tax free payments. Two thirds salary payment tax-free of a multi million contract is gravy money.

Like most local broadcast color commentators, Cheech was a homer, but not as extreme as some. He did provide occasional criticism of Canuck players and his comments were always insightful. Everyone liked Cheech. He was like "one of us" (i.e. a fan who wants to see the team do well). There are times when I would have liked to see him be more critical (like when he was ignoring the latest gaffe from Myers or OEL or giving Miller a pass on a weak defensive play) but, like everyone else, I liked him a lot overall.
Ferraro will be more critical. I sometimes find him over the top in that often he overstates or exaggerates a point He will be different from Cheech.
But I will be interested to see how he does. I wonder if the change in commentator has any effect on the players. No-one likes to be criticized in the media and I expect that some guys will be in for a lot more criticism from Ferraro than they were from Cheech.
He was a Homer for sure. Should of heard him doing color commentary on a Flames game. Cookie cutter with different names.

My concern is the quality. Highly profitable for them because they use cheap products and sell at max possible price. But as a 6'3 320 guy, I appreciate the Big and Tall section.

Move it to Houston, and rename it to the Houston Aeros. Why that name? Houston had an IHL team by that name. They also have an NHL ready arena downtown in the Toyota Center. And, Tilman Fertitta is willing and wanting to purchase it.

And how things would have been different if the Stars selected Linden instead of Modano. How much different would things be for the Canucks. Champs instead of chumps.

Ever seen a leaf bug or a stick bug? Come on down to Houston, all 10,000 sq miles of it. Ever eaten mudbugs? When cooked properly, they are delicious.

Yikes, another uniform change? No thank you. We have had too many.

I believe someone from Houston would be interested.
There is no guarantee that the next owner is a local Canadian invester.
Yes, Tilman Fertitta wants an NHL team. And the team could move down to H-town. They have a downtown rink that is ready to go right now. The team could have the name changed to the Houston Aeros.

The reasoning means no Burrows, no Beagle winning the Cup, and countless other players. Drafting brings a pedigree but there are many players who played in this league without being drafted. The method is called player development. Some guys choose to work their butt off. Burrows was one of those guys. I remember the practices I watched him in. First on last off and taking shots on Luongo helped.

I'm perfectly fine if they play well and lose......of course I want the best pick possible, especially with this top 10 full of top line players. However, I would never expect the players or coaching staff to care about that......Tocchets job is to win games and he doesn't care about where they pick because he will likely be long gone when that player becomes an impact player.
I think they've really done all they can, with the lineup, for the tank. Whatever happens from here happens.
Do we need a topline center/winger, or would you prefer the best defenceman available scenario?
(Trade) Canucks trade Pearson to Montreal

With our luck, we would make the trade and then he would clinch the cup against us with the game winning goal.
