I laugh at people who expect people who are, and have been, the best at what they do for almost their whole lives to purposefully lose or to purposefully not do well. That's a true losers mentality.

Bedard was a pipe dream regardless. We draft where we draft.

You need a mix of young players entering their prime with some vets who have 3-4 years of good solid hockey left. JT is the latter. I doubt he's traded the way the FO views him. He's part of the plan going forward.

We said that last year but this year it'll be different... Right?
I didn't say anything like this last year.

Kuz is also a lock to break Bure's 34 goal record as a rookie.
This FO hasn't even had 2 seasons under their belt but they've picked up some very solid players early in their tenure. Kuz has been by far the best acquisition. Hard not to love the guy.

Can't wait for a full training camp and next season. We look like a totally different team now. Once all the pieces are in place, we'll be good.

The players and coaching staff aren't going to purposefully lose. If the tank happens it happens. If it doesn't, we'll still have a great pick. We're not making the playoffs.

A couple of tweaks to defense and this year's draft and we are looking good.

Yes, it's pretty obvious that this current GM is pretty hypocritical about what he says and what he does.
It's a bit strange that people choose to argue the evidence or interpret it in such a way to defend the GM's actions. We can acknowledge that JR/Allvin have done good jobs with regards to pro scouting. But when it comes to planning for the future, they are doing a pretty bad job. A mid-first round pick and a high 2nd were traded. No other rebuilding team did that.
We're not rebuilding. They've specifically said this. Keep banging your head though.

Quickly becoming a middle pick anyways
It'll be top 10. Still a lottery pick.

He didn't trade away the higher draft pick.

JT wearing the C next season. May be a short stint but I think he gets it.

We look like a different team since the coaching change and trades with an incomplete defense lol.

Petey is unreal. I can't believe people would trade him to rebuild lol.

Makes more sense than the sh*t people are doing to disparage Horvat's name.
Yeah I'm not down with that either. Horvat was great when he was a Canuck. I hope he does well going forward. But the Miller hate and these fairy tale stories are ridiculous.

Loss tonight. Let's go. 5-4 preds.

I don't like Miller's personalilty crowd, therefore I shall nitpick every negative move he makes while disregarding all the good. I'll also form an imaginary story line in my head that makes him a cancer in the lockeroom without any real facts to back it up. He shows emotion on the ice, he's a POS. Makes sense. LOL.

It is exciting with all the young players acquired, the upcoming draft, and the core pieces we have in place. Lots to be excited about.
The fans who want a new owner and new management, stick to your guns and stop supporting the team until that happens.

Please keep repeating your opinions over and over. This has been talked about in a dozen threads. Let's keep making new ones where the same posters can say the exact same things. At least this is where they will all congregate.

According to the loud majority, we should trade him and start over.

We of course can't say the move was great until we see Hronek in action. Seems like many thought picking up Nate Schmidt was a shrewd move.....until he wasn't great for us because for whatever reason he wasn't a good fit. It's a risk we of course take as any other, but there's really no point in judging this trade until a year from now.
I'll give JR and PA the benefit of the doubt. Most of the players they've brought in have been very solid. Jim Benning brought in Schimdt. Jim Bennings track record for trades isn't great. Nor were his FA signings.

JT has been in beast mode since the coaching change.
