What I heard today on NHL Network, speculation, is Babs asked the player to hand the phone over. That's weird, if true.

I think there is more to this than originally reported, thus the legs it has. I'm hearing Babcock actually asked the younger player, not sure who, to hand over his phone so Babs could look at it. Speculation, but if true, that's not gonna fly. Babs is in a position of power, especially over a young player, and this is an abuse of power.

This world we live in now is just so reactionary and temperamental. Just a coach trying to get to know his players. Kind of weird? Ya. But why does everything have to be in the news now? Drives me nuts. I'm really not a big Babcock fan and he's highly overrated.  How many Jack Adams? One cup ring. Going through minor hockey, juniors with kids, I see all too often what last names will get you. Bitter? Maybe, but it's a real thing for sure. Of course, there are some that pan out, but often the name gets you things not having the name can't get.
