I I had to guess I would say Jarmo and JD's names are probably being thrown out there because Babcock announced his retirement from coaching and the NHL thought they were rid of one of their 'problematic' personalities only to have these guys reach out and drag him back into the game. I think it's fair to say there were many people out there who were not supportive of the move, fans, players, management types, and league officials alike.

That would be epic. Jarmo is one of the more respected GM's out there.

so "asking" to see your family photo is crossing the line nowadays?? if he demanded to see it and threatened to punish people for it then ya sure maybe.. you can politely say no i have too many personal photos or i don't feel comfortable sharing it? if he continue to push for it then ya sure.. all i see out of this is people that hated babcock spell blood in the water and blow this way out of proportion.. if my boss ask me to see photos on my phone.. i'll probably ask what for.. and depending on the answer i may say yes or no? if i say no what's he going to do? fire me?

What I heard today on NHL Network, speculation, is Babs asked the player to hand the phone over. That's weird, if true.

Only way he motivates guys is by berating and belittling them. The guy is a bully, just ask Franzen.

He’s a dinosaur and should have gone the way of Keenan years ago. He’s not even a good coach he’s just been fortunate enough to be part of great teams.

This. How many Jack Adams for this arrogant twit? Karma is a beetch and it has come to pay Babcock a visit.

Would you put an age, cap or term limit on that?

PA said we won’t be trading a 1st for a 30year old player.

Absolutely. I can expand on what I meant by the "right" defenseman in that it has to be a player that's young enough to sign on some prime years. Like Hronek. I liked that trade filling a the hole of terrible Canucks drafting and development of Dmen.

1st and Hogs for Pesce. Maybe we can extend him. Who doesn't wanna play with Hughes? Myers with some sort of retention for cap reasons and cause they still wanna ice a complete team. Can we do a conditional 2nd and it becomes a 1st if we make the playoffs? I dunno how the conditions work anymore. Either way, we are in F them picks mode, been there for more than 10 years. If our goal is to make ownership and Petey happy with playoffs at any means then we really shouldn't be against moving more picks. Gamble our entire future on both Lekkerimaki and Willander meeting/exceeding expectations. Go from there.

I agree with this. The first + is up for grabs for the right dman.

Yup and some folks also saying that with limited minutes on the 3rd line he can be good. Not happening. He is absolutely brutal

One of my lasting images of last year, played over and over, was the puck in our net with Myers looking around covering no one or completely out of position. I hate dumping on the guy but man I hope we move on. Addition by substraction.

  7. This world we live in now is just so reactionary and temperamental. Just a coach trying to get to know his players. Kind of weird? Ya. But why does everything have to be in the news now? Drives me nuts. I'm really not a big Babcock fan and he's highly overrated.  How many Jack Adams? One cup ring. This stuff should just stay in house and tools like BizNasty and others need to stop trying to get clicks off this crap.

Yep.  Those stupid Keith sons.   Crap.  Total crap.    Sometimes it also goes the other way, a crap or fringe Dad, makes a better kid.  I remember Chycrun's Dad having a scrap with Probert playing in PHI.  Guy was like 6'5".    Also remember Bellows with the North Stars.  Who's that Sillinger guy in CLB related too?   That guy who played a bit with us?   It does go both ways.   Those Howe kids were pretty good too.   For sure they get every single thing possible for a better chance at succeeding.    When it comes to guys like Chychrun, i'm pretty stoked.

Going through minor hockey, juniors with kids, I see all too often what last names will get you. Bitter? Maybe, but it's a real thing for sure. Of course, there are some that pan out, but often the name gets you things not having the name can't get.
