I think this falls right in line with Torts philosophy. If you play well you will be rewarded. I don't think he meant to slight Lou but more of a reward to Lack.

With that being said though, I think there should have been more conversation heading into the decision of what the repercussions may be and perhaps a sit down with the 2 goalies prior to the decision being made, as Lou looked and sounded like he was caught totally off guard.

I tend to agree that Lou should have gotten the start, but Torts reasoning was also sound. Wrong decision for THIS particular game.

Any team that gets forced to play grinding hockey every single night will end up getting frustrated and tired of working your ass off just to hope for a lucky bounce, which is what role players do.

If we had a second line capable of scoring goals at the NHL level it would take so much pressure off of the 3rd line and allow them to concentrate on defence first hockey and chip in when they can.

Unfortunately we keep questioning both of our 3rd lines and wonder why they're not scoring. Talk about pressure:

"Why aren't you delivering what you're not here to deliver"?
