  1. I didn't say the represented a majority. I would suggest they represent more than just a few rotten apples.
  2. Here's Spector's article on the hate returning to Vancouver: http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/lucic-spat-shows-dama-returning-to-vancouver/ Interesting that the mods locked a thread with this article. Apparently they didn't read the piece, which is actually about the Canucks generally and not the Lucic incident specifically.
  3. True, but I can't think of any other cities where an incident like this has taken place involving a local sports hero.
  4. You can't keep pretending that the people perpetrating this stuff "aren't real Canucks fans" or represents some miniscule portion of the Canucks fan base. Read enough comments on CDC and you'll realize that a pretty significant number of Canucks fans think it is perfectly fine to injure and harass opposing players, inside or outside the rink. These kind of incidents give the whole city a black eye, and for good reason. I'm not done defending this city or this team, but I am certainly done defending its fans.
  5. Puck luck and timely execution are usually the keys to winning a hockey game.
  6. Yep, in that same situation, Vigneault would have stood there chewing gum, the team would have fallen apart and lost the game 6-1.
  7. He wasn't slagging. He was just telling it like it is. Classless move by Kassian.
  8. Who made a throat slashing gesture?
  9. Milbury was the worst GM in NHL history. I think it was actually Dave Bolland that coined the phrase Sedin sisters. He later apologized. Milbury called them Thelma and Louise. Henrik then made fun of Milbury's stint as GM. Would have been better if they had proved him wrong by showing up for Game 6 or 7 though.
  10. Games are won by shot totals, as the Canucks themselves have proved recently.
  11. And so you think that at no point in the process of jumping on Orpik and throwing punches while Orpik was pinned on the ice did Orpik's head hit the ice? What do you think knocked him out there champ?
  12. Punching someone who's head is on the ice can do allot more damage than that. Have you even watched the play?
  13. The fact that A thug like Thornton has never been suspended before tells you all you need to know. He's a Bruin, so he'll get a slap on the wrist. They always do.
  14. If you allow that many goals on that few chances and "didn't have a chance" on any of them, then your positioning is off.
  15. Luongo is never at fault for the goals he lets in.
  16. Every team has occasional defensive breakdowns. Elite goalies come up big when that happens. Luongo is routinely getting outplayed despite facing less shots and less quality chances. Routinely.
  17. Thanks for the brilliant analysis Hank. Way to step up there and show some leadership.
  18. He's not worth the $6 million he is getting paid this year, that's for sure. His contract is a joke.
  19. Not going to happen. Just like the mid 2000's, when the Sedins developed too late to supplement the West Coast Express, our next crop of young guys are just too green to supplement the aging Sedins. We are going to go through a few lean years before the next core develops.
  20. Funny how a player who never saw the ice after the 1st cost us a game that was lost in the 3rd...
