Kind of ironic that these last 10 games seems like the playoffs already. As a fan it seems we have finally got past the clouds of the goalie controversy of the past many years, the massive losing streak and question Burrows (who broke out in a major way). Every game seems like a game 7. ....yet Burrows is injured, Dank comes back and immediately Henrik exits injured. Boy would this be an amazing story if this team pulled a 10 game win streak together and made the playoffs. God damn I hope we somehow make it. I feel, as a fan, that I finally have something to cheer about...this year has been so cluttered with sh*t Big win tomorrow boys.

I'll give credit to Phoenix for playing well.... but I also think that this game (phx/pit) says a lot about Pittsburgh and the glaring problems that they have heading into the playoffs. Considering this was back to back for the Coyotes. Lately Pit seem incapable of even stringing a few wins together. Definitely setting up a nice little "upset" by Detroit or Columbus (assuming they are the ones that get in)..... or Washington. Love the Ovi/Sid rivalry. God I hope we can get in. A series against St Louis, considering our record against them this year, looks pretty sweet. F'in injuries.

Definitely a long shot.... but at this point I'd prefer to cheer for the team and hang on to the hope that there is technically still a chance. Edit*: Especially now that there are no hopes of "tanking" and getting a decently high pick

Anaheim has been on a bit of a slide too, losing 6 of their last 9. It will be difficult, but I like our chances. We need to get at least 3 points out of those two games. It honestly feels like a long ass time since I have been excited for the 7pm HNIC game. I really hope that we get some points in these next two games so Saturday night means something. Want to drill down a few brews and enjoy the game.....

Don't forget they play in Chicago, then go on a 5 game road trip one game after that....

Aside from our constant injuries it sure seems like everything is falling into place for us to make a push for the wild card. Watch for that final game of Dal vs. Phx to be a big one for us. I have a feeling we will be watching and hoping it turns out a certain way so we secure a spot. ....if we keep winning of course.

Huge having Smith get injured though. And better than the 2 points it was looking like they would have.

Damn... Rags all over them. They have had about 3 good chances since they tied it up.

Minny would have to have a pretty awful 12 games to miss out, but it's completely possible. I obviously didn't factor in the Jets as well.... they pretty much sit in a similar position to us.

I look at it this way.... Phx w/ 12 games remaining. If they play .500 hockey they finish with 91 pts. Dal w/ 13 games remaining. If they go 6-6-1 they finish with 88 pts. Van w/ 10 games remaining.... We need to get to AT LEAST 90 pts to have a chance, hoping that Phx and Dal have average finishes. That means we need to win at least 8 of 10. .....Unfortunately, I think the only way we get in is winning the rest of the games. Dallas and Phoenix play each other for their last game as well, same night that we play Calgary for our last game. Could come down to that night if we string a bunch of wins together. Some other things to note... -Of the remaining games: -Percentage of home games: Canucks (70%), Phoenix (50%), Dallas (~46%) -Back to back games: Dallas (4), Phoenix (3), Canucks (2) -Longest road trip: Dallas (5), Phoenix (3), Canucks (2) -VS top 10 teams: Canucks (6), Phoenix (5), Dallas (4) -Both times the Ducks play in Van they are on the end of back to backs vs Edmonton And for the hell of it, my prediction of the final standings after the remaining games: Dal 6-6-1 to finish at 88 points Phx 5-5-2 to finish at 91 points Van 6-3-1 to finish at 87 points (Would have needed to go 8-1-1 to tie Phoenix)

We have a few days off here and Phoenix and Dallas play a couple in the meantime. Lets hope they each lose both and we will be sitting only 3 points on going in to our game on Sunday and they will only have one game in hand. Dallas have Flyers & Sens Yotes have Panthers & Bruins Lu could actually help us! ...And don't forget that 7 of our last 10 are at home. There is definitely a chance.

The only way they don't play is if a deal is imminent. Although a lot of fans have given up, we still need these 2 points to stay in this race.

How dare you sir! I think he has lost the guard on his helmet. Burrows is such a big part of this team.... I think once he turns it around, the rest will follow. If he does actually score tonight, or have a good game with a point or two, I think we win.

If I remember correctly, it was a graveyard that entire game as well. Very similar to the situation we are in now.
