  1. Does Breakfast at Tiffany's have to count as a chick flick? It was pretty awesome.

  2. Neither really seem like my cup of tea, but I might check them out. Also, define "girly films".

  3. Stupid CDC cut me off, but I was talking about this:

    Pure awesome that is.

  4. The two greatest films I've seen are Spirited Away, and Mulholland Drive. Both are strong examples of surrealist cinema, and probably the exact opposite of what you are talking about, lol. Do you have any examples of Social Realism you like?

British comedy tends to be hilarious. Without exaggeration, the single funniest movie I have ever seen has to be this:

  5. Sure, but a lot of comedies that come out nowadays tend to fall flat. I don't laugh a lot during supposedly hilarious movies. Maybe it's just me.

  6. I tend to enjoy them. A lot of my favourite movies are horror ones. You grow immune to them after a while, but getting scared can be quite fun. Though I could imagine sitting and watching them alone would be boring.

  7. Leprechaun is a horror movie... well kind of. It's not scary, but it is when you're a kid. I watched it when I was six. It made me deathly afraid of midgets.

  8. If you do that, this could happen to you.

  9. Yeah... if they're really short, and carry a pot of gold, they are.

  10. Thanks. Luck I could use. I never really seem to have any, lol.

  11. Supposed to be 5 years, but I had to take some time off due to illness. Also that you get held back 6 months every time you fail a year end exam for any subject doesn't help.

  12. ... 4 years, lol. I could explain why I'd rather be somewhere else, but I don't think I could do so without sounding whiny, so I won't.

Though to give you an idea, I could've gone to the Caribbean instead.

  13. Well, for one, I was able to skip the need for a bachelors degree, and enter out of high school. There's the fact that getting into a Dental college in Canada is near impossible. That it's also ridiculously cheaper.

There were other options, but being Indian myself, I thought this was a good choice. Was wrong about that bit though. Feel seriously out of place here.

  14. So you have family in Vancouver? Must be cool to take up work wherever you want. I can think of a few places where I'd like to live and work for a while, given the opportunity.

  15. Meaning you don't know where in Canada you're going to end up?

  16. Hopefully only a couple years. Depends on how quickly and easily I can clear my exams. Hoping to come back to Vancouver once I'm done.

    So, you're moving to Canada?

  17. I ended up falling asleep before the match even ended. I suck at this, lol.

  18. It's not so different for me. The last time someone left a comment on my profile before yours was 14 months ago. This place isn't exactly as personal as it used to be.

  19. I could probably bring up his name, and 90% of this board would have no idea what I was talking about. The people that would know, have up and left. That's the thing that's made this place boring. Most of the familiar faces are gone.

On that note, whatever happened to Paula Creamer/Virgin Witch? Is he still alive?

  20. I've spent an inordinate amount of time with photoshop/gimp in the last few week or so. Maybe that sums up how my life is atm, lol.

Started looking at the second forum archive, and there are some interesting threads. About Bulis being a disgrace, Obama announcing his presidential nomination, the upcoming Fantastic 4 movie, Popcorn_Shrimp asking how to pick up girls... Creepy sounding t...

  21. I haven't been here nearly that long, lol. But I remember these

    http://web.archive.org/web/20060823062014/http://forum.canucks.com/

    http://web.archive.org/web/20070119040709/http://forum.canucks.com/

That was from a time when people actually used the creative forum.

  22. Isn't that from around when I joined the board. Like 5 years ago?

  23. I know how that is. Though for most of this year I haven't exactly had too much to do. Was probably more busy during my vacation to Canada this summer then I was during any other part of it.

  24. So busy you don't have time to post online anymore?

  25. Not much has been happening, except a lot of the more interesting posters have stopped frequenting here. Is the bluejackets board still active? Tried logging in a few times a while back, but my antivirus blocked the page from loading. There wasn't a way around that, for some reason.
