it does hurt but you will save money in the end. i bought all cheap and crapty tools to start with, then i bought slightly more expensive tools, then the good stuff.
just dont spend 250 dollars on a hammer, all you are ever going to use it for is beating crap up you will hardly ever drive a nail by hammer so dont worry about it

you should be able to do that for the 2nd 3rd and 4th years.
im sure your school will point it out to you but you are able to receive grants from the government after you complete your course $1000 for the first 2 years, and then $2000 when you get your journeyman ticket and red seal.

3k cheaper? it is only 1k for me with books and registration. i am doing the 8 week course. with job experience. i haven't even taken my first year actually. start on jan 5th. i have enough work experience though for the first 3 years. i learn better with on hands training, and i was never a big fan of school so i opted for that route.
