  1. I hope you're right that these "smaller" earthquakes could relieve pressure, but it seems unlikely that an earthquake involving the Pacific Plate and the Alaskan region of the North American plate would have any mitigating effects on the pressure build up in the subduction zone between the Juan de Fuca plate and the Cascadia region of the NA Plate. It's more likely that any relief in pressure would come from a "small" earthquake involving the Juan de Fuca subduction zone itself.

I didn't mean this one specifically in Alaska, just the smaller ones in the area, like the small one in Taffino a month or so ago.

  2. There was also a 5.3 in Colorado today.

    http://www.cnn.com/2011/US/08/23/colorado.quake/index.html?hpt=hp_t2

A moderate 5.3-magnitude earthquake that rattled southern Colorado early Tuesday morning was the largest to hit the state in more than 40 years, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The quake's epicenter was seven miles southwest of Cokedale, and 180 miles south of Denver. There were no immediate reports of casualties.

A dispatcher at the sheriff's office in Las Animas County, which includes Cokedale, said the quake lasted almost 30 seconds. The office received reports of rocks falling on a highway and of some structure damage.

It was the largest in a series of earthquakes that struck the area. As of 5 a.m. local time (7 a.m. ET), the USGS reported seven quakes centered just south of Cokedale since midnight.

Amy Vaughan of the USGS said the 5.3 magnitude ties that of an earthquake Colorado suffered on August 9, 1967.

In 1973, the USGS originally reported a quake with a magnitude of 5.7, but it turned out that was caused by an explosion, Vaughan said.

The largest recorded quake to hit Colorado had a magnitude of 6.5 on Nov. 7, 1882, near Rocky Mountain National Park, Vaughan said.

He plays the PS3 version, methinks, which has no DLC available whatsoever. So the merchant that has the max gold, at 1500, is Fathis Ules. But that guy is a pain to locate if you play the game long enough. He always gets stuck somewhere in the city and you have to find and "free" him. I like the Sinderion guy in Skingrad because he has Novice Mercantile and the items you sold to him never disappear.

Ditto to Mayor Quimby, train your Mercantile also helps (by selling/buying individual arrows repeatedly for example, lol).

Yeah, I play the 5th anniversary on PS3 that's supposed to have everything. The Inn is there, so I am guessing I have the pugins? The guy you told me to talk to wasn't, so I probably have to wait for him or come back. I didn't feel like playing anymore for the day so I saved it there and will try again tomorrow.

I was going to ask if its worth buying/selling arrows to raise it, sounds like it is.

Thanks again for the tips !

Edit: After reading up on it, I found out that Rowley Eardwulf only shows up if I have the pulgin. I guess I don't have it :( I thought 5th anniversary came with everything. I guess it only comes with add ons and not plug ins.

Edit 2: Plug ins not available for PS3 :(

  4. Good I was hoping it would, otherwise the only other way I can remember do it is to start the "Knights of the Nine" quests and walk the pilgrims way to lower your infamy to use the chapel. I'm sure there are other ways but I haven't played in a couple months but I want to beat it again before Skyrim comes out.biggrin.gif

The 5th anniversary edition came with knights of the 9 already started.

  5. Don't turn into a Vampire if you don't want to be one because there is a problem with the quest you do to reverse being a vampire, it gets stuck at a certain point and you can't complete it or something to that effect. So make sure to carry a few cure disease potions or eat some mandrake root but vampirism doesn't stick till you have contracted the disease and slept for 3 nights, so you got some buffer room.

Cool thanks. And praying at the church worked. My strength went from 62 -> 77

  6. Must be a glitch I have never encountered this problem sorry man I wish I could help you, was kind of hoping someone would have a reply for you by now. Have you looked around the net to see if this is happening to anyone else. What system are you playing on pc or console? PS3 or Xbox 360? I know some seem to have different problems such as the vampirism glitch on PS3.

PS3. The recently released 5th anniversary. I can slash and see their life drop and drop and almost make it to zero but sometimes it stops and they just won't die no matter how much I slash. I usually have to run and hide and recharge my life about 4 or 5 times to finally kill them.

Any help on my 1st question about getting my attributes back to a base level?

Edit: See your edit, thanks !

  7. I don't feel like making an Oblivion thread, so I am going to ask for some help here.

    First question:

I have noticed some of my attributes are red. I'm a huge RPG fan so I realize that this means that it is below what is should be. Let's use Strength as an example. Its 70 and in red. Now is there armor or a weapon that may be causing this? From what I understand sometimes I am in a fight and I will see something like "your strength is damaged". From what I understand I can use the spell "Restore Strength" to bring it back to normal, but it doesn't move when I use this, it just stays at 70. Any help on how to get my attributes back to base would be awesome.

Next question. I'll be fighting one or multiple enemies, their life drops quite rapidly but after a bit their health will stop dropping. I can knock like 90% of an enemies life bar in a few slashes but then I can slash him 100 more times and it wont move. Why is this? Is this a glitch?

  8. So I was exploring Cyrodiil when I came across a cave called blackrock caverns. I sear around inside and find a pirate ship. Then I got attacked by Pirate Ghosts.

In the process of levelling my character to get max attributes(100, not 255)

I was reading online I try and figure out if there was a max level to obtain and saw sone people say 100 an sone say 255. What's the difference ?

  9. WHAT!? Man this game is already approaching the 5th Anniversary..

It was GOTY when it was released also.

I have no idea how this got past me. Been a huge gamer for 25 years. Oh well, the 5th anniversary pack is a good way to get into it.

  10. I'm surprised you've never heard of it..

But mark my words, you'll enjoy it. And then you'll be excited for Skyrim like the rest of us. :P

    OMG...

I can't believe I've never heard of this game either. I loved Fallout 3 and Vegas and this is quite similar. $30 for the game and the 2 add ons is a pretty good price, plus it comes with a $10 mail in rebate for Skyrim.
