I think the most out of shape Canuck ever was Krutov. What a disappointment that guy was….
One of the prices we paid for Igor Larionov, one of the best players in the world at that time and still a force in hockey.
Krutov got to come over; we also wanted their linemate, but alas the Calrags got Sergei Makarov (very, very good player) KLM line.
Personally, I still wish we had, or could bring 'home', The Professor; love that guy.

I've posted the following video a million times:
Bruins had Lucic while he was still in prime beast mode (and he was on the ice of at the time of the cheapshot as well!). Cooke just laughed after laying that headshot & suffered ZERO consequences. Savard wasn't the same player I don't think after that hit.
You do not provide enough context; just enough to make your point; don't you have anything real to do?

They only won Cups (ignoring their most recent win) back then because the Habs were stupid enough to hire Tremblay as head coach (who left Roy in there to embarrass him). That led to Roy demanding to be traded (where he went to the Avs).
Beg to disagree; that was one fine team; check out the roster when you have a moment "Newbie".

Would assume it would be a relocation.. a 33 team league is a bit of an issue for scheduling and seeding formats.
Unless they wanna add another team in Arizona, as that market is clearly sustainable, and then add Atlanta as the 34.
No, they should delete the "team" in Arizona (I know it won't happen).

That's the funny bit, it could legit be Quebec's best shot at getting a team back
And they'd have enough draft picks to get the next Forsberg etc.
(I also must note; I loved the Statsny Brothers (Mario came after this clip):

Only team to thrash the vaunted Canadiens .. time and time again.
That team moved to Colo and won Cups.
But I loved how they trashed the ftinnningcxking 'Abs.
Hated that team for over 60 years now!
(My older brother had Les 'Abs on the old metal board game and I had TO; which I loved until Bobby Orr; then, it was all over.
I loved Bobby Orr; still do probably.

Yup. Put yet another team in Atlanta.
Make it Arizona; i.e. Yotes to Atl.
Then, when it crashes again; move it to Quebec City.
Man, I miss the Nords.

Wasn’t really doing much on the 4th line to be honest.
Yeah, great character guy, loved him, but aside from bringing some leadership, etc, I prefer the 4th pick 2024 and the most important piece of this trade: Cap Space.

Totally agree with you there. I like what’s happening with this club in contrast to where it’s been. Definitely polarizing but when in recent memory hasn’t this organization acted in that way to a degree.
And you’d think someone like JR would be given autonomy, but considering the cash flow going out between coaches, bonuses and long term high $ deals in just the last few years alone, it’d be very hard to insulate the Aquilini group from those transactions/approvals in what is being spent and where. In that sense alone there is definitely real-time integration between mgmt’s office and ownership, and we both know who calls the shots in that relationship. So, imho, it’s quite plausible that there is a continual cloud of influence over mgmt and their decisions.
JR said one of his most important duties is to manage up.

They traded freshly acquired draft picks for a d-man this week. The fact that they would draw an arbitrary line here and not make this deal is absolutely bizarre and reeks of Aquilini doing the exact same shit that he’s been doing for a decade. Not trading Miller and getting out from that contract is going to be the biggest mistake this franchise has ever made.
Hoo-Boy; were you around in the prior millennia?

Ok you clearly don't understand the difference between an opinion and speculating. Inferring, a mass amount of times, that ownership is meddling with the decisions of Management isn't an opinion, its pure speculation.
I have never claimed my opinion is more valid than Alf's, I simply suggested he lay off the ownership meddling schtick. I'm just waiting for you to ask me to meet in person so we can settle this like real men

I understand the nucks need to move out cap but Miller is worth his cap hit whereas OEL, Boeser and Myers ain't. OEL is basically immovable. Boeser has some appeal and is still young. Myers will be dealt in the summer. He is a large RD on an expiring contract and is effective, albeit unpredictable at times.
You are the Master of the Understatement.

Agree. Plus the 'reporters' should be limited to one sentence.
