Ya i dont want to move him, but he is the kind of playoff denfenceman anaheim is after. I would prefer to move a lhd 1st though. And maybe a forward. If things dont change we have to look at moving other ppl this summer or during next year

sounds like if anaheim wanted one of our d men, it would be bieksa. i would prefer to keep bieksa to help corrado make his way to full time nhler. Maybe Corrado can get a bit more aggressive and hit like bieksa.

Kesler should remain, and help groom and tutor Horvat starting next year hopefully. We really should be moving one of our left defencemen. One of them potential packaged with someone like Hansen could get us an upgrade in the top 6 and maybe a prospect. We should try to moved Weber for a mid round pick, hopefully his olympics shows he can be a contributor and a team going into the playoffs wanting some depth on the back end might offer a 3rd or 4th rounder maybe? Murray got 2 2nds and hes a defensive d man. I think we should try to resign Tanev soon, been saying that for a while not sure whats the hold up, and maybe extend diaz to a 1 or 2 yr max deal depending on what he is asking for. Booth i think could get dealt to a team like Phoenix, they were rumoured in on Erat, and Booth is younger and has shown some decent signs during this year, unfortunate that he is just in the organizations dog house. Burrows, basically isnt worth any decent return due to his play. Montreal would be a good fit and he would waive im sure, but doubt we could get a 1st rounder or something of value back. Probably stuck with him and wait out his slump.

I wish we would take the chance, maybe not always with our 1st pick, but some more europeans like fins,czechs, russians, slovaks would be nice to see. They seem to have some good players coming from those countries. May not be top tier, but good players who will play for quite a while in the nhl

Tanev should be resigned, not traded its that simple. he is under 25 and showing he can be a top 4 solid reliable defenceman. I dont get why Gillis will pay huge $ and ntc for a player with one good year like Garrison, but seems to play hardball with Tanev. Sign him before he just decides to opt for a short deal till he can become a ufa them leave

tanev is our right handed version on hamhuis. Didnt say hes as good. but they are both good in their own end, can make solid passes, Tanev has jumped the rush and as his confidence grows so to will his offensive game, although it is limited. I would think Tanev is a big favourite to Torts, he did praise him quite a bit during one particular interview.

purcell and a pick was best agreed to, id like to try and pry connolly as well. But I would really hate to loose Bieksa. And dont think tampa has a need for a lhd. Bieksa is an emotional leader on the ice, we dont see anyone else play that way on our defence. Always been a big fan and would rather move one of the 3 lefties 1st. Mainly because Corrado is still young, and tanev, well hes been great but what are his contract demands. I was hoping MG would announce a Tanev Extension during these olympics...

i dont think colorado trades their 1st line winger for Edler. Would love the deal, but think Colorado would want more for O reilly. Hasnt management come out and said they arent trading him and seems like the player is happy under the new regime. I would re sign with that young skilled team too. Colorado has a good group of young forwards. But ya never know what can happen

it could all be nothing, but looking at how we have played this calender year, our need for offensive help in the top 6(although thats going on 2yrs) I would hope GM MG has finally seen the light at the end fo the tunnel and decided to pick up the phone and potential move a player that he may have not wanted to before. We could use some form of a change at the very least this year. If that doesnt help and he barely make the playoffs or get swept, then this off season alot more should be done

are they taking booth or burrows back? Franzen is so injury prone played 80 games once in his career, never topped 60 points. Put his age aand injuries plus his contract I think its not worth considering. his last 3 postseasons havent been that great. if we was healthy and playing well it would be a bit different. I dont want us trading for an older injured player if we move edler. I hope this rumour is just a rumour and nothing more

if we needed cap coming back it wouldnt be for a 34 yr old signed for 6 more years, whos had injury problems. Id rather take samuelsson and quincey atleast both are ufa. if mg Moves edler for franzen he better get 2 of nyquist,jurco,mantha sheahan and oulett/sproul and a 1st We get an aging player while trade a d man signed during his prime? Time for the GM to do something in my opinion, but thats been said a million times and hes done nothing to solve our scoring woes for 3 yrs. What I would like to say is Tatar,Nyquist,Sheahan Jurco. 4 Younger players who really impressed me from detroit. And they trust them, the all rookie line was out there with only a couple minutes left. Sure wouldnt mind 1 of those in part of a trade maybe 2! Plus they have Mantha. Looks like there future could be decent with there youngsters. great drafting KH, and what a way to develop them and bring them in. Not a detroit fan but am impressed with there young guys who are key contributors right now on there team. Also, on the PK Andersson for them does a solid job too. Dekeyser looks like a solid puck moving d man, great college pickup

Ya for sure. although for bobby ryan, whos value should be on par or above e.kane. He got a prospect 1st and a player. Is silverberg similar to hansen? maybe has higher upside. But neither that 1st or a prospect is on par with horvat. I would also have interest in B.schenn. Id like him on the second line. and philly has a need for a top 4lhd under 30. As meszaros is all but gone and timmonen is in his late 30s and also a ufa. something around schenn and edler? I also do agree a puck mover on the back end would be nice. but unless we move tanev out of the top 4, it would have to be a bottom pairing d man. like a kris russell, or someone whos one dimensional for offense. Not sure who we could maybe get, any ideas on a PP quarterback, not named b.campbell. I kinda thought delzotto would have been worth a chance, or maybe gardner? barrie from colorado? I know moving our top tier prospects isnt something we should rush at doing, but we do need ideally 2 top 6 forwards, until kassian can be a legit top 6 guy, and a pp qb would also be nice as you stated. Im hoping some things can happen this year, and then see how we do and re assess at the draft and ufa to try to tweak the other areas

Luo has played very good for us this year. And you dont think if we acquired 2 top 6 players would significantly improve our team, and that being said the players we would get say: E.kane, Wheeler,Oreilly,stastny who all have lots of good hockey in them.. Sedin sedin kane/wheeler burrows kesler wheeler/o'reilly/stastny higgins schroeder/richardson kassian sestito richardson/dalpe weise/Booth hamhuis tanev garrison bieksa stanton weber/ other d via trade or corrado luongo That team doesnt impress you and give you 2 legit scoring lines? with solid d and goaltending. And we trade edler,hansen and horvat. One of which we have too many of LHD and a prospect whos atleast 2-3 yrs away from being somewhat of a major contributor game breaker. Its a bold move to potentially do. But after making it to game 7 of the cup final and then watch 3 years go by and not see us make any upgrades as we watch our core age, i think the time has come where you have to consider going with a big bold move, or you give in to not being good enough, move the older guys with ntc, should have never resigned the twins and dealt away players for prospects and picks. But since that isnt what MG is doing, he should be aggressively trying to improve now. why wait till july where you can hope to buyout booth, and maybe get a top 6 winger who will most likely get overpaid. Personally im tired of seeing us struggle to score. and if trading schneider leads us to mooving horvat inevitabely for say E.Kane Im sure ppl wont be upset. As if we could have made a schneider for Kane trade straight up almost all fans would be happy with that

other teams arent afraid of moving young top end talent to help them win a cup. LA traded. b, schenn and simmonds just to acquire mike richards. That along with get Carter did what for the kings??? Oh ya they went on to win a stanley cup. So it can pay off to trade a young high valued prospect for immediate help.

i think you look at different ways to improve first, but if MG gets a very good player offered to him that is young and he feels helps our team, he has to take it into serious consideration. But from what he has said, it sounds like MG wants to bring Horvat up and groom him to be a top 6 center and take over once the sedins new deal is up. But that being said he still needs to make some moves to try and compete and have a shot at winning during the Sedins window. If I was him I would quietly allow teams to know that he would be willing to move edler, same way he did with hodgson. See if any offers intrigue him and then do what he said he wouldnt do. Approach Edler and say ''We have a lot of teams that would like you, this benefits both parties, are you willing to waive to go the X team" If he chooses not to do that, then I feel GM MG isnt doing his job as a NHL Gm, and he should be under serious review and on the hot seat, 3 years of still needing a quality top 6 scoring forward, and the best he has done is bring in the injured and now healthy scratched Booth. Over 3 years, thats just not enough from a so called top regular season team, that has failed the past 2 years miserabely in the playoffs

hes been great all year on the wing. Toss him with the twins or kesler. doesnt have to play center. just gives a a legit top 6 center if one ever went down. Withouth cdc panicking over we dont have depth. future top 2 centers o reilly horvat not bad

ROR signed to an extension 7yrs 5.5m cap hit. Thats what id try to get for a deal as he can sign for less and we give him max years. Colorado would probly offer him 8 yrs maybe a 6m to match duchene but they will have mackinnon to resign in 2 more years and other guys aswell. Edler, Hansen, 2nd for ROR and Mcginn(3rd liner whos got size)
