Personally, I’d rather the team struggle early and take its lumps now and find its stride later on than come out of the gate red hot and struggle down the stretch like we have seen often in recent years. Now, on the flip side, with a shortened, condensed schedule this team can not afford to give away too many points as every game is a mean something game this season. I’m not worried at the moment because I know this team is better than what they have showed the past 3 games but what’s concerning is how they are losing. Green needs to light a fire under these guys a**** and have them ready to go each night and they team needs to start taking responsibility and play disciplined hockey. I firmly believe this is a wait and see year for the future of Travis Green and if this team flounders I don’t think he will be back next year.

Lol give it a rest. Christ, the team was a sliver away from the WCF last season. They are on the right track but people need to temper expectations. A setback this season was a reality given the current cap situation. That being said, we are screwed for 10 years? Overreaction much?? The foundation is there now it’s a matter of adding to it. The deadweight contracts will be gone starting this off season. That’s a positive. The core is in their early twenties. It took teams like the Blues and Capitals a lot of years to get over the hump and win the cup with their core. This is not a cup contending roster nor should we expect it to be. Patience it’s a virtue and this club is trending in the right direction.

Not going to overreact given it’s only game 3 of the season but clearly this team isn’t ready to play tonight (who’s fault is that) and are still a team that’s not hard to play against. It’s like we have heard this song and dance before. Why can’t we be the team that presses and dictates the pace of the game?

Great game. The best players on the team stepped up big with the absence of JT. Nils looks like the real deal but the player I was most impressed and proud of tonight was Juolevi. Played a real steady game and was solid with the puck and his decision making. His only gaff was a forgivable one. I’m really pulling for this kid given all the crap he’s had to endure.

Hamonic is going to be a huge addition to this club. I've always liked his game. I love Chris Tanev and will miss him sorely, but I'd take Hamonic on a one year show me deal vs the long term deal Tanev got given the state of the Canucks cap and the direction they are heading.
