    Alright y’all,

I know we’re all devastated over the forum closure news but how about we change it up. Let’s all share our favourite moment/memory on CDC! It can either be a thread, a post, a conversation you had someone, anything!

I mean mine and I’m sure a lot of other people’s favourite has to be the, “Burrows? Do we really need him?” Thread. That thread will always be iconic, always made me laugh when I needed it.

I also remembered the Boeser jersey bet I made in his rookie year and how scared I got after every point he got . Y’all never let that one go, even years later.

I’ll miss everyone here. Come on, share for favourite moment/memory!

My old lookalikes thread was good for a few laughs too. Some good ones in there.

  2. -Getting suspended after arguing with "Wetcoaster" online . A hilarious back and forth that lasted about three days.

    -Posting during the 2011 run.

-Taking the day off work to watch the draft and posting while it was happening

  3. Whoever thought this was a good PR move is about as talented at media relations as Jim Benning was at everything else. . Bad press is better than no press media idiots! I guess alienating fans doesnt just stop with the on ice product .

    This organization is astonishing

This is the more interesting discussion to me. In a lot of ways it was forced upon him whether he wanted it or not.

At the the time, fans were so starved for youth, the future, hope, and shiny new prospect, that they really dubbed Bo captain far, far too early. I mean, at the time, Bo was seen as a leader and good captain material, so there was a case to be made.

But fans (and media) just parroted Bo as CAPTAIN, CAPTAIN, CAPTAIN, CAPTAIN like that Family Guy straightjacket gif. We see it here all the time.

In some respect, it was unfair to Bo from the get go to anoint the guy Captain before any other prospects arrived. And also unfair to the other prospects who didn't get a fair shake at the C because Bo was already anointed the captaincy before they got here.

By the time Bo was named Captain, it almost felt like it was owed to him despite other guys emerging. So, no wonder there were issues in the locker room, or awkward dynamics.

The better choice, perhaps, could have been Edler for a couple years.

It's like when they tried to force him to be a penalty killer. He isn't.  That's just not him. I felt the captaincy was the same.

I think it's important for fans to take a look in the mirror and say, hey, maybe we should have waited before anointing Bo future captain when he was drafted. At the very least, this time around, it's an opportunity to allow the C to evolve in an organic way so the best candidate emerges.

He should have never been captain obviously.

What a dreadful game which sums up our season. Blow a 4-1 lead due to sloppy defence and goaltending against a dreadful team.

Petey was on fire tonight as usual as was Kuzmenko, even Beauvillier with a few nice plays. It's as if the 3 wingers knew their jobs were on the line tonight.

Miller with another strong performance, his goal with Brock screening on the PP was too easy, and PDG really fits in nicely with Miller, I can't see management breaking up this trio, they've been very solid for Tocchet.

Garland finally decides to show up and score some goals, a massive game for him, it just so happens to be against his former team in a pointless, must-lose game though. Takes his goal tally up to 17 which is respectable, this game may have just saved him from a buyout or trade. Still, someone (or two) have to go.

Fourth line didn't do much good tonight and were victimised defensively by fringe AHLers so not great.

Hughes was electric, skating really well tonight, I like him with Burroughs, he's a bit like a poor man's Schenn who can skate better. They combine for 5 assists.

Hirose was dreadful tonight, you've got to call a spade a spade. He's been good up until now but he got bullied defensively. I think it was O'Brien who just pushed him on the screen and the point shot went in. As flashy as his skating and passing is, we need a big strong LD to compete with guys. You'd think Myers would be that guy but he's obviously not, so poor Hirose has to take the big guy and he got toyed with. Obviously he'll look better playing with Hronek but still...not a great game, we need one of Graves or Gavrikov to sort this D out. Myers was pretty bad tonight too and Bear and McWard were average, not bad at all.

Terrible game by Delia who let in 2 or 3 stinkers, you've got to think this is a comfy 4-2 win if Demko's in net but it highlights our weaknesses on defence which we still need to address.

When you look at what the contending teams have done, you see how far off we are on defence. NJD already had the deepest defence in the league and they add Hughes who wins them the game and is basically a top-4 defenceman already. You look at Edmonton who add Ekholm, the final piece of the puzzle - a solid defensive defenceman to an offensive team, and no surprise they're something mad like 16-2-1 since the acquisition.

If we can add one solid defensive guy this offseason it'll make a world of difference to this otherwise fragile D.

Can't say " blown lead" if we won.

I read that Hirose was prioritized above Livingstone by management. I was surprised by that since Hirose is a smallish LHD and Livingstone is a bigger RHD. I can only think it’s because Hirose is a better skater/puck mover. Other reasons?

He's VERY good. This is an awesome signing
