I'm not saying they will, I'm saying there's no reason they can't.
The salary cap disagrees with you. It's not easy to clear space.

Heh Jt Miller has been pretty consistently a point per game since joining the Canucks. 99 points was an outlier, and he was treated as such (the Huberdeau deal was the deal you give him if it’s not an outlier).
8m is what a point per game guy gets.
Bo is more than 2x his BEST year scoring pace and has never been a point per game guy, and (reportedly) wants more than Miller.
And Miller will decline now , year after year (points wise), and offers sweet f all other than points. Sweet.

Agreed. Horvat is a 6.5m guy having an outlier year imo. Hope we trade him to someone who views him as a diet mcjesus and will pay him accordingly (and give us a fortune in return)
Outlier year? JT miller is the posters child for outlier years . Sweet baby Jesus. Look at JT millers stats and age.

I don’t think Horvat should get more than Miller. I do think there’s a good chance Bo is traded but numbers wise I think it’s all smoke

It's hilarious you think losing games somehow guarantees Bedard when it only gives them a chance. Big difference and we all know Canucks luck on draft lottery.
Uh ..... what? Where the f in my posts did you get bedard or the #1st overall pick from?

There's no reason they can't move miller and keep horvat
Quote this now. They won't. This time next year, Horvat will be gone , Miller will be here. There are lots of reasons they can't move Miller to keep Horvat.
Won't be a big appetite for a 8 million dollar locker room question mark that sucks defensively and throws temper tantrums. Especially one that's only had one above average statistical year and is turning 30.
When you have a guy like Cory Hirsch saying during a live brodcast he's a serious character issue and they need to get rid of him, that's not good. That was before they re signed him, and he's not even young for God sakes.
Quote it now.

Merry Christmas to you Mr. Positive .............................
Lol. Sorry to be realistic. Everytime horvat scores , remember they signed miller instead. Ooops , now horvat hits his prime. It's complete incompetence year after year, and I've watched pom pom posts fly after wins without any accountability for where the franchise is overall. So far, this season has been a massive failure, and it will get worse, so no , not stoked when this is the new shiny " rebuilt team" we waited for squeezing out some wins. Overall, it's not a championship team, and that's what fans deserve.
We could list off idiotic move after idiotic move for the last 7 or so years , but we shouldn't be happy with this product.? It shouldn't be shocking when they win.

Did someone piss on your cornflakes this morning or do you like to see loser teams lose?
For the record , pissd on cornflakes would be an upgrade. If that's all the organization had pissd on in over 3 decades of supporting this team, I'd eat them with a smile.

Ur happy right now overall because they won tonight?

Let's trade Pettersson so we can spend another decade or two looking for another Pettersson in the draft . Makes sense

And we have him for max what....like another 3 and a half months? Right on. Just in time for his prime . This is not good news for us.
Every stat like this should just drive it home even more as to the uselessness of the group " guiding " this ship.

Well, the good news is we might end up 17th or 18 in the league again this year. Great win. In addition to that, we can look forward to losing Bo Horvat because of more genius strategies from the front office, and watch JT Miller make 8 million until he's 36 as a consolation prise.
Merry Christmas

If we could light up Marky a little bit and pump up trade values for a few of our forwards, that's a W in my books.
Would take a hell of allot more than one flash in the pan game. Just saying. But sure.
