  1. I hear what you are saying but disagree, we need an experienced, proven player who can mentor Clev + Sneijder will play well into his 30's The only thing stopping us getting Wes is SAF's stubborn Scottishness.
  2. Really? Wow.........its so glaringly obvious even to my mrs who does even understand offside!!!! If you look at United's season so far, it all changed with one tackle, Davis on Cleverley @ Bolton. Before then we were free flowing, scoring when we want and looking more dangerous than we had since 1999. The problem is that Tom is too inexperienced and when (as we had expected to) we played Barca/Real or Bayern in the later stages of the Champions League, he would have been over run and SAF would have reverted to either Anderson/Fletcher/Park/Giggs in centre midfield along with Carrick. Up to the Bolton game, because of the creativity of Cleverley and his ability to pick a pass, Nani and Young were flying becuase we came at defences from all three areas of the pitch........at speed and anyone who has played in midfield or defence will tell you, thats almost impossible to defend. Throw in to that, we had Hernandez coming back from concussion who is the best natural goalscorer in the Premiership, good things were forecast. Now you take out young Tom and what do we have? Nothing from midfield. Anderson, Fletcher and Park are not good enough, Jones is a defender and I dont care what anyone says. Young and Nani are now having to come inside to pick up the ball and create from there, so easy to defend its schoolboy stuff. Cleverley is going to be as good as we hope but the problem is he is just simply not ready, physically or mentally. The need is even greater now because Vidic is done for the season so Jones has to move back to, where he belongs, centre back with Rio and we have to pray neither of them get injured or we are left with Evans I suppose once Rafael is back, he can play right back and Smalling can move in, but that does not install me with much confidence at all. Finally, anyone who thinks Carrick is not good enough needs to go and give their heads a shake.......or go support Chelsea. My ideal team to finish the season would be: De Gea Smalling Jones Ferdinand Evra Carrick Sneijder Nani Young Rooney Hernandez Rotation from Cleverley, Berbatov, Owen, Valencia, Giggs, Anderson, Fletcher, Evans, Da Silva twins and Lindegard
  3. thats where his head was last night instead of doing what he should have been doing
  4. I remember him from the world cup, espana 1982 he and zico destroyed scotland. great player, rip
  5. watched sky sports last night and they were plotting englands route to the final, one of the presenters said they play their last group game in kiev, will get a good look at the stadium before the final. arrogant pr!ck, i hope they get humped in the group. if the french sort themselves out, the could beat england, ukraine will be tough at home and we all know how much they love playing sweden!!!

  7. [quote name='Sc♂ttish⑦Canuck™' timestamp='1321391143' post='10163141 EDIT: I'm curious as to whether you actually know the names of any of these unacceptable songs?
  8. I was there and there was an awful lot of English accents in the mob. Lots of Chelsea, West Ham and Leeds
  9. According to the reports I've seen and heard, the songs in question were pro IRA songs and at the hearts game, it was a bunch of decent Celtic fans that reported it. I have heard these songs myself and they disgust me. Anyone caught singing them should be jailed, no question. Will never happen though, from my experience at Celtic park, the stewards join in and the polis look the other way and become deaf and dumb all of a sudden. This is, as previously said, the main reason I hate this club.
  10. See those "misunderstood" Celtic fans have shamed their club again.......
  11. ha ha, will make no difference to Aberdeen if Scottish clubs won all the European trophies for the next 10 years while Milne owns the club!!! Not sure it helps the national team either does it? Fear not, I hate the Huns (almost) as much as the Tims, there are a few reasons that I despise Celtic slightly more than Rangers: A) My Dad is Govan born and raised and him and his brothers followed Rangers all over the place, he was heartbroken my brother in law got to me first and took me to Pittodrie in 1978 for my first game (vs Airdrie) I'm not proud to say it but during the late 80s and early 90s I was an active member of the ASC and let's just say, I didn't have as much "fun" at Parkhead as I did at Ibrox.....even less at Easter Road but that's another story!!!! C) Some of the songs that (some of the) Celtic "fans" make me sick. I'm not going to get into that whole sectarian debate, both sides are as bad as each other, but in my experience, it's always been more evident/vocal from the Celtic side of things. D) Neil Lennon E) Neil Lennon F) Neil Lennon G) Frank McGarvey
  12. If it is a dodgy decision that knocks you out, you can't complain, you should not be there in the first place. So in this case, I hope 2 wrongs make a right!!!
  13. Europe is quaking in its boots I seen Lemon interviewed after the game and he said the result was a miricle, the only miricle is that little prick still has a job
  14. but we all know that glasgow based players are allowed to tackle like this without punishment looking bleak for terry in this race row now, I heard he strongly denies racially abusing his friend Anton but has not completely ruled out sha**ing his wife
  15. I wondered where you had been, I had just hoped you had not taken a jump off the forth road bridge after the weekends results more good news fdor the huns, naismith out for the season........ouch, that hurts!!! rangers midfielders dont have much luck at Aberdeen
  16. http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/31102011/58/spl-rangers-docked-75-points.html SPL - Rangers 'could be docked 75 points' SPL leaders Rangers could be docked as many as 75 points if they are forced to become a new entity due to their current financial problems, according to the Daily Record. The Ibrox giants are facing a £49 million tax bill which early this month club chairman Craig Whyte admitted was "paralysing" the club. The Scottish champions are involved in two separate disputes with HM Revenue and Customs, relating to payments before Whyte completed his takeover. The club have not paid a £2.8m tax bill which first emerged in April, relating to payments made to staff between 1999 to 2003. They are believed to be disputing a fine that goes with it. A tax tribunal, which could cost the club £49m, will resume in November. Now the Daily Record is claiming that there would be no way that Rangers could possibly pay that money back, and that the penalty for entering a club into the SPL under a new guise would be severe. If such a situation transpires, then the Record claims that Rangers could face an extra 15 point deduction on top of the usual 10 point deduction that goes to a club that enters administration. In the piece written by James Traynor, the paper also claims that such a penalty could be imposed for three consecutive season meaning they would be docked 75 points in total. If Rangers were forced to rebrand themselves as a new club, they would also face being banned from European football for three seasons by UEFA under recently introduced guidelines.
  17. I have to admit, I am actually surprised at how good RVP has been this year, I have always seen him as one of those, very good but not great players and certainly not a leader but with all the gunners have been through this last year or so and the way he is playing and leading now, I have been proved wrong. Keep it up Robin and you might yet get your dream move to United and north of the border another good weekend for the huns, celtic are so bad its untrue, funny though
  18. top of the league, some of the best players in the world, playing great football, just beat united 6-1 at Old Trafford and they STILL cant sell all their seats, City are a joke!!!!!
  19. its pretty much a way of getting the tax man off their case. The inland revenue is not considered a preferential creditor which means they basically get shafted. All staff must be paid first and then the club/bank will make an offer to HMRC, probably something like 10p in the £ max, and HMRC have little choice but to accept it. It makes total sense for Rangers to go into admin, other than the shame of it, with the lead they have in the SPL, there is no punishment and it frees up millions Not sure how the season tickets would be void though, they dont belong to Glasgow Rangers FC, surely they belong to individuals? unless financed through the club I guess......I dont know about that one Not an expert in this by any stretch of the imagination and Im sure there is more to it than that.........but thats my understanding of it. watch this space I guess!!!!!
  20. makes sense to do it now, even with the 10 point deduction, they will still be top of the league
