I think sometimes our cynicism or sarcasm gets taken the wrong way on this board.

I made that comment in a fit of rage that has since subsided and given way to clarity and a bit of empathy. That is a reason, not an excuse. I was wrong (maybe, but we will never know for sure).

Their argument for god and our argument for Russell's teapot are essentially based on the same principles....neither of us can prove or disprove either of the theories.

Ok so maybe I worded that wrong, the point is, they will die, and there will not be an afterlife....and I guess they won't feel anything at all, much less disappointment.

The only regret I have in disputing the beliefs of these Christians is I won't be able to see the look on their faces when they die and realize it was all a big hoax.

God isn't....and never was.....but if he existed, I'm pretty sure you could scratch that "probably" in your post.
