  1. Petey is on pace for 96 points.  BO is on pace for 50+ goals.  Miller is starting to get back into shape and is a guaranteed PPG guy.  Demko looks to be rounding into form after his surgery.  Hughes is an assist machine and could be a PPG defenceman this year.  Kuzmenko can hit 30 goals.  Mikheyev is as advertised, solid defensively and is on pace for 20 goals.  Luke Schenn is a rock on defence.  Curtis Lazar is a legit 4th line energy guy who can move up to the 3rd line.  Martin is a legit backup in the NHL and can play 30 games.

The problem is outlined right here in the opening statement.  This is everybody's very best and wishful versions of themselves (although, the point about Pettersson is true and Hughes not too far from it - probably 65-70 range if he's healthy).  It's very easy for any team to be a legitimate one if all of the stars align in that way, but how often does it happen?

I think the time to think wishfully has passed us.  We've done that for the past 3 years and keep making foolish decisions as a result.  It's time to start making decisions based on the facts in front of us.  The standings, the state of the roster, the state of the prospect pool, the salary cap - all not good and need to be fixed.

Gun to my head says SS more likely to be TP than NIK. Unless SS has been trying to get in my pocket.

Petey boi really fixating heavy on town clears has me concerned on him lately. "Only Siths deal in absolutes," - Obi Wan Kenobi

I actually kind of agree with this.  Where naslund.is.king had a pretty chaotic start and went after everybody, he's now been consistently around but less influential and he seems happy to let some of the more experienced/vocal players take over at this point.  It's almost like he's coasting by ever since sheriff and doctor got killed.

Sharpshooter has been pretty disengaged, and while not towny, he's not exactly playing like I would expect scum would (unless he's really planning to slank the whole way through).

SCUM AV breaks the tie on scumbuddy Porscha

Then early the next round posts this:

Also note he never waivered on his vote all round. This was his only vote. And most of the way through the round she was leading the votes.

If Scum AV did this, my question is why? It didn't save a team mate, it actually got her killed.

So in no way is scum AV saving scum Porscha, if anything the tied vote is why she was leading the vote most of the round and that lead to her fake claim.

The only options would be if either AV is the worst scum player to ever play (he is not), or he is the greatest scum player ever to play (because he knew that all of this would lead to finding the doc back when he untied the vote in r1.)

If the latter is the case we may as well all give up as AV be playing master level chess while the rest of us potatoes are playing handicap checkers

And this is precisely my point.

So, I save Porscha in R1....just to tunnel them/never waver on them in R2?

In hindsight, my mistake in R1 was not asking for more people to jump onto Porscha in R1 rather than ejecting myself from the vote and trying to flip onto Snake Doctor.

Didn't AV prevent a tie between SD and Porscha in round 1? He was voting Porscha then Unvoted to have "no ties" Then voted SD which did not count.

What it is, is that he failed to vote immediately for SD, but rather waited til it was too late to vote. It's curious as to why you wouldn't want a TD. I know why because in the later game if Porscha was lynched and you voted opposite of Porscha then you would be sus.

Sounds like a save to me. Why? So as to not chance having a thunderdome between SD and Porscha.

My thought process in the moment was "I don't want a tie and I'm not entirely sure that Snake Doctor is mafia, not more so than what I believe of Porscha".  That's why I unvoted.  But, as the end of some rounds usually are in how it is chaotic, it dawned on me that somebody voting on Snake Doctor may have also unvoted, which is why I scurried back to vote Snake Doctor, albeit not quickly enough.  Everything was done to have a clear person voted out.

In most games I've played with Porscha, their activity level is random.  Sufficed to say, it would serve me better (as mafia) to have just voted them out in R1 than it would be to save them just to simply bus them again.

In a way, it was good that I was gone for about an hour last night just before nightfall.  I probably would have unvoted Porscha because of the claim and I would have been wrong for it, again.
