this is why I DON"T want us to make a deal for someone like Byram. Concussion history is like playing russian roulette in hockey. One wrong fall/hit and they are toast.
Good luck and best of health recovery though to Joonas. Better to get out early, gives best chance to an almost normal life after hockey.

with the eastern bias of voters that never stay up late enough to watch us play, we stand VERY little chance of winning anything.
also with the mcdoofus/drysaddle/mathews the scoring titles are already in the bag( for one of them)
I predict that we have 3 or 4 in the top 5 finalists of several categories though.
The only major trophy I could see us having a decent chance at is with a strong performance all season the Adams trophy for Tocchet. which naturally means that he gets fired NEXT season.

until Petey signs at least a 6 year extension I wouldn't include him in the conversation.
If they don't go with all A's this season, then I'd probably go with JT... a little bit more of a seasoned vet, signed long term, wears his heart on his sleeve.

how about this.........
if a team is over the cap one year, they have to be UNDER the next year by double the amount that they were over in the first year.
This gives teams one year to 'go-for-it'

why don't they use the Abbottsford rink?
I know the commute can be ugly, but like some others have said ... they can utilize the local hotel spaces.
