  1. is Iceland even in Europe? Pretty sure they're classed as being. Italy has never interested me either, I'd go but it's not like I NEED to go there. Spain is okay, I've been to Barcelona (as a little tot so don't remember it), somewhere on the coast and then Minorca (Balearic Islands) which was mint as a kid. Loved going there.

  2. brilliant at the same time. Saw loads of shooting stars over that way too.

England lets everyone in, so just go there haha. I'm probs going to go to Sweden after Canada. Don't have to apply for anything though, love being European like that :D

I'd like to go back to Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Germany, France again, Spain, Holland, Belgium, Iceland

  3. A sweater is a jumper right? haha :P

I've been camping every time I've been to Canada, that's why I've been everywhere on Vancouver Island (pretty much). Loved it. Was best friends with a guy from Calgary for 3 days once. Wonder what happened to him.

I've been to that beach they filmed Twilight on, saw all the stars there. It's so creepy (space / stars) but really

      Probably.

It's called "Primeval". My Mum watches it, so it's probably crap.

  5. Are you working this weekend?

  6. That's what I'm doing to Canada.

I think someone I know has been to Vietnam. It's never been on my list of places to go. I still have to see much of Europe, best get on to that when I've done my wider world travels.

Just watching the Oxford / Cambridge boat race on tv. I have no idea why. I'll watch anything after work it seems.

  7. Shirt is just a shirt to me, so yeah, whatever they're called :)

Oh gosh, tell her not to be a wimp. Camping in the middle of nowhere is awesome. I remember having to go to the toilet in this pit at one camping place in Canada. Was a bit grim, but it's not exactly the end of the world, hold your breath haha.

Do they do working holiday to the Czech Republic?

  8. Think I'll deffo check out that area. Though I shall explore everywhere I reckon.

Have you got any travel plans other than going up to Yukon was it?

  9. Apparently there's this stuff you can buy, like a powder, stops you being a sweaty mess. Shall deffo have to look that up when summer arrives haha.

I'm not vegan, no. It was the quote from the book. Seems like my kinda thing though.

Yeah I mean those shirts, though I never hear that term ha. Everyone wears them here.

  10. I've deleted private messages and things by accident.

Oooh, all that 2012 stuff is such utter crap, sick of muppets bleating on about it. oh noez end of the wurldz!!1

I dunno what we call it, it's a cable/lead. Same thing to me.

I like walking in the winter through Manchester City Centre at night, there's just something about it, especially with music.

  11. The guy fell asleep yeah, I thought I could sleep anywhere, but apparently not. I was too cold if anything. I've not transferred at work yet, got lots of hours next week too though as someone is on holiday so I have taken their hours too. Which is all good.

  12. Right up my street, though I wouldn't say I dressed like a hipster (if that's the definition). I wear skinny jeans and shirts (girls and guys wear them here) but I dunno. But the area sounds alright to me from the book, would have to find my own little niche I guess.

  13. LP says: "SoMa - is home to the city's carefully cultivated young alternative crowd: think skinny jeans and plaid shirts for guys and vintage chic and thick-framed spectacles for girls. Bohemian coffee shops, cool-as bars, vegetarian eateries and one-of-a-kind boutiques..." Basically Vancouver's "Northern Quarter" really.

  14. The past week has been really warm and sunny, so work has been hot. I dread actual summer, not sure I will cope!

The cafe was cool, or what I remember anyway. I was quite tired / drunk so I dunno. I had a coffee I know that much.

I think it's only open late on certain nights, I'm not sure. I stole a menu from there, thought it was a leaflet :/ muppet.

  15. You probs think of leash 'cause we call a leash a lead? I meant a power cable then, to get you all un-confused.

I've never been to those places, not really been to Vancouver either. Only been on day-trips. I'm a pro at the Island circa 97-03 though haha.

Sounds nice though. I'm not a fan of sweat or heat. Give me ice and a coat any day.

  16. I have a smartphone but I tend to delete things on CDC if I use the desktop version, so I don't anymore haha. I just read things instead.

I dunno what I'll do in Canada. Probs be too busy actually having a life though. Not even sure if I'm gonna bring my laptop, though I probably should.

What's this supposed sunflare? Will I die?

  17. At first I tried to sleep sitting up, then head resting on the step above but on my arm, then i went to the bottom of the stairs and tried like that. Either way non of it worked so I ended up back on the stairs just sat there. It was crap.

  18. But it's also the place most people visit and internationals go to live. I'll probs go spend a chunk of time there, maybe a month or so. We'll see.

Nah, don't think it was that, he told me about how he doesn't like most people, so maybe he didn't like me, ha, I dunno. He was friendly enough when we chatted anyway. Seems like a good egg.

  19. instruments that you could play on. It was quite cool. We ended up talking to these random people who were chatting about nothing interesting. I wanted to sleep, but fat chance of that ha.

Not really read any of the Ontario bit, but the bit I did read mentioned how Toronto loves itself and everyone else mocks them on it. Mentions some movie "Everyone hates Toronto" or something.

  20. I've only been to BC in Summer and each time it was El Nino, so I only know it when it's hot hot. Like the summer of really bad forest fires. I saw a show on TV that mentioned them and I was like "I was there :|" well not actually there, but the smoke covered most of the flight to Calgary.

Yeah, it was just a cafe but had arty things dotted around and musical

  21. I'm good too, thank you.

I am deffo one of those who congratulates themselves on every day they cope without a computer, I am an actual addict. It's not even like I do anything either. Though if I'm busy it doesn't bother me and I've been working all week so it's not been too bad. A new power lead came today so all is well in the world and I can use my laptop again

  22. Trying to sleep on a stairwell is horrible too, don't recommend it at all, ever.

  23. and tried everything to get back in. 3 1/2 hours later she finally gets up to go to the toilet and we get let in. I wasn't even annoyed (I shoulda been), just cold really. Her ex wasn't really too chatty either so trying to make conversation got tricky. He'd been to Gothenburg though but didn't really say much.

I'm sure your friend loved you for that though.

  24. We were locked out as my friend and her bf got a cab where-as 3 of us decided to walk back instead (her flatmate and ex). We stopped off at an Art Cafe that was open till 6am but then her housemate went to meet someone and so I was left with my friends ex to try and get into the flat. It then started to rain, called her like 25+ times, rang the bell, banged windows

  25. Bonjour, ça va?

I've had no computer for days :(

The places that rated highest (from memory) was BC and Ontario (surprise, surprise).

I'm not ashamed of knowing them, didn't really know what one was. According to LP I am a hipster and should live on SoMa (or whatever it's called) ha, it actually uses the words "hipster" too.
