  4. Wow... some sleepless nights over this one.... So proud to welcome Lubomir home, and to have him in the organization for years to come. We are glad Lubo has chosen Boston as his final home away from home, as this is something he has struggled to find IRL. He has been a foundation that we`ve built around in Boston, and has done much to contribute to our rise from the league`s 26th spot, to being a top 10 cup contender. He will be top pairing, and will resume with his duties as alternate captain. This contract ensures that he will retire a Bruin, which is exactly how it should be. Visnovsky - Shattenkirk Bieksa - Boychuk Stoner - Redden Schlemko - Oleksy When asked about the signing, Greensman simply replied, "So glad I don`t have to plan how to replace him, because you just can`t replace a legend. He belongs here, and now its time for us all to put contracts behind us, and serve up a big dish of compete."
  5. Signing: The Chicago Blackhawks have signed Nathan Gerbe to a two year, 1.95m contract (975k per year).
  6. The Boston Bruins are proud to welcome Dany to the team. It has long been an issue, to find the right line mate to play with the Sedins. This year we will ice our most imposing first line ever, and couldn`t be more excited! When asked about the acquisition, Greensman replied, `we`ve been waiting for years for the opportunity or privilege to make an offer on a player with Dany`s talent and skill-set. We were shocked when he became available, and leapt at the chance to make an offer.`
  7. REPORT: Rumours in Boston have Joel Ward, Tyler Kennedy and Ray Emery available.
  8. Signing: The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed Peter Budaj to a 2 year 3 million dollar contract (1.5 per year)
  9. Signing : The New Jersey Devils have signed UFA Kyle Flanagan to a 3 year 2.55mil contract (850k per season).
  10. Signing: The Tampa Bay Lightning have re-signed RFA Riley Nash to a 2 year 1.8mil contract (900k per season)
  11. Signing: The Carolina Hurricanes have re-signed RFA Aaron Ness to a 3 year, 2.85mil contract (950k per)
  12. This broadcast has been interrupted for an announcement from Go Green Sports and Entertainment Signing: The Vancouver Canucks have signed top ranked free agent Daniel Alfredsson to a 1 year contract worth 6 million dollars. Contract includes a full NMC.
  13. OFFER SHEET: The Colorado Avalanche have signed restricted free agent forward Brad Marchand to an offer sheet. Brad Marchand - 2 years, $ 9.5 million dollar contract ( $ 4.75mil per season ). * Pittsburgh has seven days to match this offer, or they will receive Colorado's 2014 1st, 2nd and 3rd round draft picks.
  14. Didn`t they get fined for the signing too? Lol.
  15. This broadcast has been interrupted for an announcement from Go Green Sports and Entertainment The Dallas Stars have managed to bring back forward Ryan Clowe after months of patient and professional negotiation. Papers were signed and finalized in the Dallas front offices sometime early this morning. The Dallas Stars signed Ryan Clowe to a 6 year 30 million dollar contract (5mil per season), with a full NTC for the first 5 years, and a limited NTC in the final year (Player may choose 10 teams).
  16. You can change your budgets once per year. You have from the end of the season (June) to the beginning of the next season (late September) to make you changes.
  17. Just in time for the off season... For those that have been following the Boston roster, it has reached a point where decisions pretaining to goaltending must be made. As Robin Lehner is slated to move into the backup role in Boston this fall, it seems Razor Ray Emery may be available. The 30 year old William B. Jennings trophy winner this year, with a stunning undefeated record of 17-1-0, was signed to a two year 3.3 million dollar contract (1.65 per year) by Greensman before the trade deadline last season. 'When we signed Ray, we thought Robin was a year or two away, but Robin's development took off at the end of the season, and the timing seems right for him to train closely with Cam Ward this coming season. Ray has been a rock for our team since we acquired him for R.J. Umberger two years ago. It is sad to make moves you don't want to make, but there's strong upward movement in our ranks, and we want Ray to have to appropriate amount of ice time for a keeper of his caliber'. Greensman is referring of course to the Bruins minor team, already featuring Chris Gibson, Allen York, and with Malcolm Subban likely to sign this year. The Bruins are said to be shopping Emery, Joel Ward, a few select prospects and picks to either acquire a top 4 d-man or a top 6 winger.
  18. What about the whole league... where`s the deals? I got up early for this, damnit. I expected a Trade Center alert to be my wake-up call
  19. Boston Draft History 2009-10 round 1#10 - Vladamir Tarasenko - Played majority of 2013 season round 2 #7 - Tyler Pitlick - under contract round 2 #10 - Jaden Schwartz - Played majority of 2013 season round 3 #10 - Stephen Shipley - unsigned 2010-11 round 1 #21 - Zach Phillips -under contract round 2 #50 - Chris Gibson - under contract round 2 #51 - Adam Clendenning - under contract round 3 #87 - Joseph Labate - traded unsigned rights straight up for Nick Bonino 2011-12 round 1 #18 - Malcolm Subban - unsigned 2012-13 unsigned round 1 #24 - Valentin Zykov round 2 #35 - Ian McCoshen round 2 #54 - Dillon Heatherington round 2 #57 - Oliver Bjorkstrand round 3 #63 - Tyler Lewington Shipley and Labate didnt pan out, but I was able to turn Labate into a great forward (Nick Bonino), and Shipley`s disappointment didnt cost the organization a dime. I fully expect the rest of my 09-12 picks to play in the NHL. I think a fourth line role is attainable in the future for Pitlick, I think a call up is attainable for Phillips in the next couple years, and I think Clendenning is close (if not ready) for a showing in the NHL. In net, both needing time to develop, Gibson has potential for a back-up role and is steadily improving, while Subban has starter written all over him. Our 12-13 picks still have much to show/prove. The draft has been incredible for our organization. It has built us up and given us depth. Can`t wait for 2014! 1st round CGY 2014 1st round BOS 2014 3rd round PIT 2014 3rd round BOS 2014
