If I looked like Brad Pitt I'd be an actor.
Yah & he’s got the brooding mumble down.
Don’t know why he isn’t decisively sniping pucks, especially at even strength anymore.
I also keep hoping to see this again!

If Brock one-times that, he scores.
I like BB6, yet the “ifs & buts” in Brock’s game are becoming insufferable.

That knee - on Podkolzin was just a 2 min tripping penalty & no roughing or fighting added on?
Suspendable attempt, me thinks.
Those calls were blown!

Almost!
Garland had time to pivot & take far better aim. He didn’t know it or want to risk it, but the goalie was down & sliding & his D was also out.
There was a gaping net.
Shame that.

I’m impressed so far.
I know.
Quietly optimistic here, too.
Afraid to comment (not wanting to jinx anything) as things are progressing better than expected.- 1

Motte is great but how high can you go for a 4th line winger who already is making more than most when you're trying to lower your salary cap?
Moving on from him is just the business of hockey. It's not going to make much of a difference if any on team performance.
If he wanted too much they had to get an asset back before trading closed. And the return isn't low, it's market value. Here are some other players who went for 4th rounders recently:
Brassard (Edm), Appleton (Jets), Wedgewood (Stars), Vatrano (NYR)
Good move by Allvin
Motte is on the rise & playing with more speed, heart & consistency in his role than all 4 of those players you mentioned.
Motte is being under-valued & his intangibles were not properly respected in the price. It’s a sad realization that management has pulled a reliable cog out of the machine pushing hard on fumes to reach the play-offs…& that they’ve officially abandoned this pursuit.
More of this team’s heart is gone & forgive me for mourning that a little.

Let’s hope there were some subtle future considerations also included within this 4th rounder in 2023 for Motte deal… ‘because If not - this management group just got fleeced.

One could argue that the team's lackluster play signaled to management that faith in them making the playoffs is not warranted.
An exhausted goalie losing his edge & an unreliable back/up says….that management should have found a way , (by hook or by crook), to get Spencer Martin back onto the big club. The players seemed more willing to support Martin better in that role, in all the ways they would not when playing infront of, Jaroslav Halak.
Perhaps the fresh & eager optimism of Martin’s youth & his newness to the NHL, just inspire them all to perform better than the cranky insecurities projected by an unhappy or perhaps disgruntled older veteran player - in apparent decline.

Canucks gave Tyler Motte away for virtually nothing. Ugh.
Their current 4th line was one of their best lines going - and now it’s toast.
Canucks just signalled to their players that they have virtually NO faith in them making the play-offs with this move….& if by some miracle they had - Motte would have been one of the key reasons.

Weak one on, Demmer.
Win your face-offs.

Agreed.
Need the OT to go gaff free.
Tall call, but they gotta do it!

Miller-time determination always impresses.
He goes to the net or forces you to haul him down, almost drawing a penalty.
Respect!

Motter!
It’s time for your line…to shine!!! -
Miller, Bo, & Petey or any combination involving the above on the PP for the win!

Has Hirsch been drinking?
He seems overly-jovial & slap-happy for a colour-analyst that’s been watching his home-team struggle here a bit, doesn’t he?
I’d say “thumbs up” to your question.

Buffalo is basically still sending out a squad of pimple-faced kids.
Rule the 3rd, & get this one put away into the win column.
