    Yup - 5 years of a Tanev & Hughes pairing might be shock & awing teams. They were a solid pairing.
     

    Tanny had the smarts to play with him and be the stay-at-home defenseman required, but could also drift in a puck & score himself when, needed. Then there’s his courage & character as a shot blocker…a tenacious teammate. 
     

    Miss him still - always will.

    He was a core player not yet past his prime - yes - it was upsetting to see him go.
     

    And he was also a perfect compliment to Huggy. Imagine if that synergy had the extra years to meld & grow here. Hughes has had nothin’ close to it since.

    I don't really care that much about it truth be told.

    Can’t tell ya how many times I‘ve prayed for someone to call or text, just so that I could find my damn phone.
     

    Lost in pockets, a bowl, a purse, back pack, on a table, counter, or random shelving,…you’d think I’d learn there’s a place for everything & everything in its’ place, please…especially cell phones!
