He can skate and is mobile and he is the only other guy besides Quinn Hughes who can skate the puck up ice.
OEL has become a defensive guy and Myers is awkward.
Rathbone should be on PP1 with Hughes out.
None of the Cancuks d has a big shot but Rathbone doesn't have a total muffin at the very least.

NFL trade deadline next week hopefully we get a few moves with some bigger names.
Chase Claypool, Jerry Jeudy, DJ Moore big name WRs potentially on the block.
-
Some big moves in the National League.
Big time Half backs on the move. Christian McCaffrey to the 49ers for a boatload of picks and James Robinson to the Jets for cheap?
Also 36 year old Desean Jackson bacc with the Ravens one of the greatest one trick pony deep threats of all time. Does he still have the juice though?

For all the talk of the bubble people seem to forget how we were stumbling down the stretch after Markstrom got hurt, had the season not been canceled we likely wouldn't have made the playoffs that season either. We only got in and had that run because of a Covid play-in.
The Canucks have been a loser franchise and a laughingstock that were not taken seriously for much of their history since 1970 outside of two surprise cup runs.
In the last 20 years in the first part of the decade the Canucks were a mediocre team before having two great seasons and winning the President's trophy. After 2011 and the aftermath of falling one game short the team mas permanently mentally scarred.
They took too long to admit they needed to blow it up and do a rebuild. Those that suggested this difficult but necessary path were unceremoniously dumped by Fat Frankie. First Gillis, then Tortorella, then Linden.
Benning thought he could turn the team around in a few years and that never materialized. Rutherford said when he came in that he could retool this team within 2-3 years and get them back on track as a consistent playoff team who could contend.
They have the supposed young pieces to build around with EP40 and Hughes.
Demko in net just entering his prime.
Bit the rest of the forward group has not fit well. The d core is in shambles and one of the worst in the league.
There is no real identity or cohesion. They lack the players the great Canucks teams had in the past the hard workers with skill and the pests who had some toughness and size to them.
Where is the next Alex Burrows,Jannik Hansen, Ryan Kesler coming from?
Where is the next Max Lapierre and Raffi Torres to bring that grit and edge.
Where is the next Kevin Bieksa?
This team is mentally and physically weak. They must be disbanded.

The ones who are claiming that Miller is the problem are the same ones who are claiming that Horvat is the solution.
Think long and hard about that...

This is garbage from Sportsnet. They have multiple television platforms even in the 600 range when need be. It's not up to them to tell us what we should be watching.
Hey! I follow the Jays part time. / Never bounce-ball. Why are you sacrificing the Canucks? I've just put in a complaint and urge everyone to do the same.
I'm sure John Garrett will. Streaming quality kisses dirt!
Put the pressure on !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If it was teg season you have a point. But even then out of those 82 games probably only half are worth watching and half those are actually good and memorable.

Good. The Canucks don't serve to be on tv it's preseason for crying out loud. The players don't care why should the fans care to watch?

I'm quite new to fantasy. Looking to trade McLaurin for another WR because WSH has a terrible QB. Jeudy, Olave, and Devante Parker are sleepers I may be looking at. Any fair trade suggestions so I don't waste other GM's time?
I am not an expert in the fantasy game as I find it quite time consuming and frustrating and with injuries you get stuck with a roster and once you have drafted your team you are pretty much stuck.
Having said all of that, I do think someone may entertain a trade for Olave for McLaurin if you toss in a sweetner.
Straight up it's a decent offer as both teams have unsettled QB play and Olave would potentially have Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry eat into his target share as well.
Just my two cents.

Piastri is like the first overall draft pick that all NHL teams covet.
He’s very talented young driver and I agree, I think he’ll push Norris in a season or two. If Mclaren can give both him and Norris competitive cars, we may see the resurgence of Mclaren as a front runner.
I also think Herta could be a fantastic young entrant into F1. He’s got the skill and pedigree/lineage to handle F1.
If Danny Ric doesn’t sign with Alpine I think he sits out a year. He may never get another seat if he sits though. Age and being out a year may make teams hesitate the following year, particularly when those other two prospects are waiting in the wings.
Gasly and Ocon together would be hilarious. They’ll probably collide at least 2-3 times a season. It would be a huge Netflix side story. I’m down for it. I hope they become teammates!
Early rumors are Nyck DeVries will be taking over Pierre Gasly's seat and Colton Herta does not seem to have enough points to qualify for a Super license and has been passed over for an F1 shot with no exceptions given.
Pierre Gasly expected to join Esteban Ocon at Alpine next season.
This leaves only a seat at Williams next to Albon and Haas next to Magnusson.
Ricciardo looks to be out of the running for both remaining seats.
Mick Schumacher looks to be out at Haas he is a long shot for a seat now. His last chance is at Williams to stay in the sport next year.
Haas are apparently keen on the old cagey veteran Nico Hulkenburg. He is not great but generally reliable and thanks to his experience along with Magnusson should help improve the car through feedback in the development process.
Also a Verstappen win in Singapore clinces him the tile and Red Bull the constructors. It has been a matter of when not if.
The remaining races are about Ferrari trying to save face and not look like incompetent morons and let Mercedes catch up in the constructors before the end of the season.

Okay Chip / Bruce, you're blowing my mind with this name change....
It wasn't a huge change really I had the photo change last year and this year felt it was time to finally make the switch over.

Tough luck today Bills, Chiefs and Chargers presumptive favorites all feel yet again continuing the early season surprising upsets trend.

Well I guess I am the last one standing after only 3 weeks!!
This first season survivor experiment has been equally crazy and ruthless.
For the rest of the season I am turning this into the NFL picks thread let's try to win some money!!!
