    First Christmas without Mom AND first Christmas where dad and I (Dad did 90% of the work) did the turkey dinner for the family. And it wasn't a disaster.

      I made roast beef and Yorkshire pudding last year.

      Wasn't a disaster but room for improvement.

      Good job!   I know those first milestones can be tough.

      We used to have such a great family gathering at Mom and Dad's....followed by a poker game that was always so much fun.  Mom had been a poker player her entire life, so it started from an idea she had.  We kept it going after she passed, with stories of her being shared like she was still there.  Really, she was...just in our hearts and minds not her physical self.

      Stay strong and keep on keeping on.  I'm sure it was a proud moment for you both...Mom obviously taught you well.  All the best, to you and Dad.
