Ive tried hard to cheer for Raptors, I even like most of their players who seem to be good guys. In the end I just can't do it. Decades of being marginalized and being treated as second class citizens by our national sports media has jaded me enough to cheer for anything or anybody that plays a toronto team. Even our regional broadcasters are the puppets of Toronto's head office.

No, I don't buy the hype. Toronto is not my city. In fact Toronto wants to be New York North.
I know I lived there 5 years.
I cheer on our soccer teams, rugby teams, even our little league teams. I cheer for the Canucks and Team Canada in hockey.
I don't see it written somewhere that I have to support NBA. Nor support Toronto.
The NBA lost my support when both Vancouver and Seattle moved.
I'd rather watch U Sports with Canadian University athletics, or NCAA when it comes to basketball.
The only Toronto team I am even lukewarm to is the Blue Jays.
But I'd rather cheer for the Cubs or Mariners.
