You would think with all the game postponements, the NHL and sportsnet would lift regional restrictions so its fans can still watch hockey, but nope. Gotta protect regional viewership what a bloody joke. As if watching Winnipeg is going to make them my team over the Canucks. Corporate assholes.

Somebody was arguing with me earlier this morning saying they would start Halak tonight, and I said no Boudreau is an old school Coach, he’ll ride the hot hand…
Ride the hot hand ffs!
Halak hunch not looking good.

They got rid of Don Cherry after trying for years. Look at how HNIC has changed since. They all sit up there in their checkered socks and do their kumbaya moments. Bieska is the only one who questions what they're bleating out. MacLean, the back stabber he is, pushes the holier than tho and gets away with it.
I look around the NHL and see ex-Canucks populating a lot of teams. Chatfield last night had a solid game for Carolina. The destruction of the prospect pool is on who's head? JB or Green. JB provided those players to Green and Green couldn't seem to teach them enough to stick. Was the GM's imperative to make playoffs at any cost?
If JB had moved on from Green last summer and brought in BB, he may well still be the GM.

He's the owner and so he probably shouldn't be saying that but he ain't wrong.
He's right but ownership should never take on fans like that. It's a no win for him no matter how correct he is.

Chiasson first on the Rutherford trade list?

Brock isn't nearly as lazy as you think, and has had some scary moments blocking shots, You're acting like he's as lazy as Nylander or Marner.
Just think he needs to engage more physically on puck battles. Loses too many.

lol I think you are talking about Petey
Petey plays more physical than brock.

Is that a father and son commentator team?

Listen to the podcast Bruce did with the Wild beat reporter. He definitely likes Boeser, maybe trust him?
Maybe. Just don't hink you win against better teams with a guy that so obviously avoids the tough going.
-
Boeser is the softest player on the team. Convert him into a defensive asset.

Just got of the phone with Jim Rutherford. He pushed me hard on the GM gig but I am otherwise committed. I suggested he call Phillipblunt.

They will come out again as soon as Boudreau loses a game
of course. It is satisfying for those of us who saw how poor the team was playing and wanted a change to see that after only 2 games, this looks like a completely different team. They are forechecking harder, playing and moving the puck faster, puck support in all areas of the ice, challenging at both blue lines instead of retreating all the time and aggressive in our own end taking away time and space. Obviously they were capable of playing this way but were being coached not to.

It would certainly appear so. Haven't seen many posts form the Green defenders lately.

I don’t think Horvat gets how gravity works, or the weight of the situation, and how now.. the pressure is clearly on the players, and him as a leader…
This is Bo’s quote from today : “ "I think our team needed a spark ... but at the same time, we have to go out there and prove it now."
A spark?!? lol
Haha. "A spark"...if they don't give their all, they will find themselves with a blow torch flaming their butts. Boudreau will not tolerate a lack of effort or players not buying-in.

Kinda weird. If Benning is out, the new manager obviously doesn't have a choice in coaching. I guess ownership is management.
Maybe Benning refused to fire green or the fact he extended him prior to this season made Aquaman aware Benning isn't the guy to hire coaches.
I imagine the consultants Aquaman hired had a lot to do with boudreau being hired. That aquaman could be listening to them and not Benning would mean Benning is done.

Miller, Schenn, Hamonic, Myers

Agree Schenn brings a physical presence. Miller can ut those lazy ass penalties he took last night look like someone who isn't really making the effort.

Thanks. Been a tough stretch around here. Having Canucks back helps.
