  1. Hey guys,

Spent thousands of hours on these forums but yet I am not sure if this is the right place for this lol.

That being said, I recently made some Modern Warfare montages that I think are pretty fire.

I put a lot of effort into them so I want it seen by as many people as possible!!

That is 2 of them, I have more on my channel. Any feedback is greatly appreciated, negative or positive.

    Cheers,

    Guess the better GM:

Benning: 2nd and madden for 17 games of Toffoli
Sakic: 2nd and 2nd for like 400+ games of devon toews.

Just follow what the top GMs in the league do and you quickly see just how woeful Benning is other than drafting.

Yeah. The last thing Benning should be doing is trading our draft positions, unless its to acquire a stud/steal like JT Miller on a great contract.

His drafting is his best strength by a wide margin and I think other GM's know this too, that's why we don't see pretty much any picks coming our way.

The Toffoli trade was a mis-step but thankfully he hasn't made other trades to get rental players. Hopefully next year he learned from his mistake. A 2nd rounder this 2020 draft would of been nice.

Hello CDC, I have been lurking on these boards for almost a decade and never felt the need to create an account or post until now and I can't believe that I had to create an account and wait 24 hours for it to be verified without any one else correcting this. Jett Woo was not invited to the 2020 Team Canada WJC Summer Selection Camp because he turned 20 on July 27th 2020 and is therefore ineligible to participate in the upcoming WJC Tournament in Edmonton. Please stop suggesting one of our best defensive prospects has 'plateaued' or is regressing simply because he was not invited to the selection camp for a tournament that he is not even eligible to participate in. That is all, Thank you.

TIL that Jett Woo has the same Birthday as me (July 27).. cool . lol

I checked some of his latest tweets and he was pretty accurate. He is also saying now that St.Louis is 2m off want Pietrangelo wants which is right around 10m which is where I figured he would be targeting. Also, he said that Minny wants Horvat for Dumba. He looks like he is a lot more accurate than Eklund.

Horvat for Dumba lol. Hanging up and laughing if im JB

  6. I believe we would of won if Boeser doesnt get robbed by Lehner in game 7.. it would of been a completely different game.

We weren't that far off, and taking the SC favorites to Game 7 is no small feat.

While I do agree he should of started Demko in Game 4 nobody thought Demmer would be this good after not playing since March. Hindsight is 2020 and I can understand where Green came from to play Marky back to back.

I caught 1 lengthy post for Sid on here....Is Jake Virtanen really having a poor showing during this restart training camp?? If so, have to think he is trade bait to add in a deal to dump so cap space...If that kid hasn't learnt by now he can't take being a pro athlete seriously then I think his days as a Canuck are numbered. Like the kid, always hoped he would pan out to be a top 6 scoring force who played with an edge, but if the above is true he is  not taking this serious enough.

Many young players rely on skill, but maturing can take time and sometimes it takes a trade for a player to "get it".

Regardless, happy hockey is back and looking forward to the "qualifying round" to try and get into the playoffs

Reminds me of the talks before training camp, for the actual start of the season back in September... everybody was 'reporting' that Jake was having a poor camp and he was out of shape and this and that, it feels like he will always have this microscope on him from the media, since he is a local boy and 6th overall pick.

He ended up having a pretty solid year and showed signs of improvement and that he could become a consistent NHL player in his prime, our GM has had plenty of patience for him throughout the past 4 or 5 years and I cant honestly see them giving up on Jake unless there is a trade offer they cant refuse on the table.

    Just my opinion.

Ferland gets closer to return for Canucks in Qualifiers

Forward to play in scrimmage after missing 55 games with recurring concussion symptoms

Micheal Ferland on Sunday took another step toward being the physical presence that Vancouver Canucks coach Travis Green said he can be for them in the Stanley Cup Qualifiers.

The forward, who missed 55 games this season because of recurring concussion symptoms, said he was "feeling really good" after participating in a morning skate as part of a simulated game day for the Canucks, with a scrimmage scheduled for 10 p.m. ET.

"I'm ready to get a couple of scrimmages going here, get my cardio and game shape up and better," said Ferland, who has not played since Dec. 10.

Ferland said he has benefited from the extended time off after the NHL paused the season March 12 due to concerns surrounding the coronavirus, noting he has not had any setbacks since resuming skating during the pause.

"I needed the rest and to take some time off from trying to get back so quick. It was the best thing for me," Ferland said. "I took a couple of weeks off, and then I didn't have ice at home so all I did was train and work out. Since I started skating, I've been feeling good ever since, I haven't had any problems; I'm just trying to get in game shape now."

Green said he is pleased Ferland can participate in scrimmages but that he will have to earn a spot in the Canucks lineup with his play during the remainder of training camp.

"It's been a long process for him. If he's ready to go, he's another guy we have to take into consideration," Green said. "When we signed Ferland, it's no secret we signed him for these type of games. When things get heated in the playoffs, his physical presence is well known."

The Canucks, who were 36-27-6 (.565 points percentage), enter the Qualifiers as the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference and will play the No. 10 seed Minnesota Wild (35-27-7, .558) in a best-of-5 series in Edmonton, the hub city for the West.

The winner will advance to the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and the loser will have a chance at the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NHL Draft in the Second Phase of the NHL Draft Lottery.

Ferland scored five points (one goal, four assists) in 14 games in his first season with the Canucks after signing a four-year contract July 10, 2019. He said he is excited to test himself in a game situation.

"Just the stimulation of seeing a bunch of bodies moving around, going at full speed and getting my heart rate up, that's what I need (tonight)," Ferland said. "I basically need to rewire my vestibular system. I just need to continue to get out there with more bodies and full pace and contact."

Green said he feels the Canucks have 15 forwards capable of being in the lineup for Game 1 against the Wild on Aug. 2.

Loui Eriksson, who scored 13 points (six goals, seven assists) in 49 games, is a candidate for one of those 12 spots, according to Green.

"We're using this time as evaluation," Green said. "As far as where everyone fits in, I don't have an answer right now. I know what Loui does well, I know what Ferland can bring to the table. It's going to make our final lineup decision challenging, but if you ask any coach, they'd like to have options, and we do and have some tough decisions to make."

Doesn't look like Boucher will be part of the black aces group coming up for the play in.

Too bad he could never make the jump to the NHL.. never brought anything else to the table and didn't play with enough intensity when he was called up...
Utica loves the guy though, and he was an absolute beauty in the AHL, scoring that much in one of the hardest league in the world is nothing to be ashamed about.
Best of luck with your future Reid!

I saw that they believe the west hub city will be in Vegas... which doesn't make sense to me.

Vancouver should be near the top of considerations, if not the best option... not even cause im a homer, lol. We got lucky with a relatively low amount of cases here. Compared to Vegas its 10x lower I believe.

Oh and we don't have a country full of unrest and protests, and a admin that is re-opening way too fast...

    Just my .02

  11. from the description ..... "Dan Murphy, Iain MacIntyre and Satiar Shah break down what went wrong between the Canucks brass and Judd Brackett, and what it will mean if he leaves the organization."

Really hope this is just the usual media drivel, lol. Would hate to see him go!

Mark Scheifele is keeping busy during the paused NHL season by handing out some awards.

The Winnipeg Jets forward did the honors for a trio of real NHL trophies and a couple he made up on the fly for The Players Tribune on Thursday.

Scheifele sees the Calder Trophy competiton for NHL rookie of the year as a two-horse race between defensemen: Cale Makar of the Colorado Avalanche and Quinn Hughes of the Vancouver Canucks. Scheifele also mentions Chicago Blackhawks forward Dominik Kubalik but his winner is Hughes.

For the Hart Trophy, give to the NHL MVP, Scheifele writes he knows how good Edmonton Oilers forwards Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl are, and acknoledges the seasons of Avalanche forward Nathan MacKinnon and Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak. But he goes off the board and says he would vote for Buffalo Sabres forward Jack Eichel.

For his Vezina Trophy winner as the top goalie, Scheifele makes the easy call and singles out teammate Connor Hellebuyck.

Scheifele opted to pass on picking any other winners and instead made up a pair of his own.

His Favorite Goal of the Year was McDavid's filthy deke against the Toronto Maple Leafs, when he crossed up defenseman Morgan Rielly by appearing to commit to passing and then beat goalie Frederik Andersen high glove side.

Scheifele's second made up award was his Favorite Players to Watch. He states he is a fan of Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane, Canucks forward Elias Pettersson and New York Islanders forward Mathew Barzal, even going as far as saying Barzal is only a few seasons away from leading the NHL in scoring.
