My dream was to watch a competitive Vancouver Canucks hockey team after being sold on the retool 7 years ago.

    Dreams change, unfortunately.

    Hope this helps.

We have quotes of Petey saying he's always dreamed of playing in Vancouver and this is where he wants to play. What do you have?

Until you can present any factual evidence to the contrary, you have nothing!

    Hope this helps!

With all due respect To say that they worship the same God is not the same as insisting that they have an agreed and shared understanding of God, same with Christianity.

the God is the same how they perceive and view that god is fundamentally different, it doesn’t change the fact that they believe that Abraham’s god is their god. Unless you are saying that Abraham worshiped multiple gods?

Most view that the god is the same, even the Pope has said as much, yea their will be fringe groups/fundamentalists that deny it across all three, but sharing the same god (the god of Abraham) still means there can be significant differences in interpretation as to what that god is about.

//With all due respect To say that they worship the same God is not the same as insisting that they have an agreed and shared understanding of God, same with Christianity.//

If one is to suggest that they worship the same God, objective, verifiable proof must be presented to support such a claim. Their word alone or their personal subjective beliefs can't legitimize the claim. The Jew or Arab's sincerity of belief isn't being called into question but sincerity isn't the standard by which we judge fact from fiction. Both Rabbinic Jews and Arabs can sincerely believe they're of the same faith of Abraham, but proving it can be challenging without bringing history and dogma to bear.

I sincerely believe my mother is the Queen of England and that we share the same historical faith, but that doesn't make is so. Objective, verifiable evidence is needed to lay claim to such a lineage. Likewise, both Jews and Arabs must present evidence (historical & dogma) to support their claim as not only to Abraham's lineage, but his faith as well.

//the God is the same how they perceive and view that god is fundamentally different, it doesn’t change the fact that they believe that Abraham’s god is their god.//

Belief and reality aren't always congruent.

//Unless you are saying that Abraham worshiped multiple gods?//

No, history records that Abraham's forefathers as being polytheists, but Abraham himself was monotheistic

//Most view that the god is the same, even the Pope has said as much//

"Most"? Only the ecumenicists make the claim that their god is the same. As for the Pope, besides the ecumenicists in the Jewish/Arab/Romanish camps, no one agrees with him.

//yea their will be fringe groups/fundamentalists that deny it across all three, but sharing the same god (the god of Abraham) still means there can be significant differences in interpretation as to what that god is about.//

The number of who disagree aren't fringe. There are far greater numbers who don't ascribe to ecumenical revisionist history. Yes, there is significant differences in interpretation of what the god is about, but such irreconcilable differences are due to the fact that they're worshiping their own image of true deity, not true deity Himself.

The god is one and the same however how they view/perceive that god is different. The origins about how both came to view the god is different but they both view their god as the god of Abraham/ibrahim.

it’s worth noting that the only other religion which Judaism doesn’t class as idolatry is Islam - and apart from a few fringe groups it is actually permissible for a person of Jewish faith to not only enter a mosque but to pray in one

With all due respect, one's perception of God doesn't necessarily define the reality of God. Both Jews and Arabs may claim their doctrine/faith is a modern expression of Abraham's faith, but a close examination of both faiths will reveal irreconcilable differences. Regardless of perception, existing contradictions dictate that both can't be true. If neither are true, then both are false.

Thousands of Jews/Arabs in Israel and throughout the world today accept neither modern Rabbinic Judaism or Islam as being a true expression of the faith of Abraham. Modern day Rabbinic Judaism and it's faith wasn't formally established until after the destruction of the Jewish Temple by the Romans in 70 AD, followed by Islam six centuries later.

That being the case, the modern Jewish faith It isn't the same faith as the faith that was practiced by Jews before the common era. Many modern Rabbinic/Sufi scholars may attempt to blur the lines between the two faiths, but unfortunately for them, neither history nor the God of Abraham is on their side.

Muslims and Jews; Palestinians and Israelis.  These people believe in the very same God, right?  They can share the same God, but not the same land?  The fighting between these two groups has got to get fixed.

They share the same ancestor, Abraham. They don't share the same God. Without getting into the weeds, the Jews descend from Isaac and claim Yahweh as their God, the Arabs/some Palestinians descend from Ishmael and claim Allah as their God.

Most Jews and Arabs share the same lineage, but not the same God.

I am getting so frustrated than my 79 yr old vaccinated mother has had her Aorta Heart Valve Replacement surgery cancelled for the 3rd time now because of Covid Patients  taking space

Is it wrong for me to think that once all have been given the opportunity to have a vaccine, the priorities of rooms and surgeries should go to people that have been vaccinated?

Why not make all those who aren't vaccinated wear a yellow star? Perhaps they should be restricted to one side of the street? Perhaps they should be made to sit at the back of the bus? Or perhaps they should be made to drink from another water fountain?

Ethical medical standards in Canada explicitly require the informed consent of all patients regarding any suggested medical procedure. Doctors must provide their patients with all information/documentation for/against said medical treatment/drug/vaccine. However, there's been a catastrophic failure to disclose this information.

Questions like "What is the contents in this mRNA "vaccine?" or "What exhaustive studies have been done to show their efficacy?" etc.. are not being properly answered. Doctors are in violation of their hypocratic oath to "first do no harm" if they fail to provide access to this data.

The censoring and silencing of thousands of virologists, epidemiologists, microbiologists, and regular family doctors who are opposed to the currently accepted COVID protocols and vaccines is another way in which informed consent is being denied. Until this information is freely provided and these doctors are allowed to speak, millions of Canadians will continue to regard recommendations like "get the shot" with deep suspicions, and rightfully so!

The Nazi physician Josef Mengele had his justifications for denying medical treatment to Jewish prisoners, not to mention his deadly experiments on prisoners against their will. If he was around today, I'm sure he'd agree with you. My mother, whose on the verge of going blind has had her surgery cancelled as well. I know your anger, but it's misdirected.

We need patience. This is a good period to grow our offense from within. Emphasize acquiring D-depth, size & speed, wherever possible(that is, reasonable, affordable offers).

As our cap opens up, lots of(mostly Yank team-GM's) will be laying pit traps to dump their crap on us. Rhino for example, would suddenly look for a payday if he were obtained. You've already sunk cost with the acquisition-assets. F*** that!

If guys like EP & QH are worth the tidy sums we'll be paying, they'll help draw out more offense from pieces around them. Grow & develop such ingreds..don't go chasing after it.

Agreed! What's the hurry? I mean, it's only been 9 years since we iced a dominant group who made it out of the 1st round? <_<

At this rate, if we keep losing or even manage just 1 more win, we will finish 4th worst, just one spot back of NJ. After the lotto balls drop, if NJ still picks before us, I imagine they draft Luke to reunite him with his older brother Jack as a Devil and if not, perhaps we select him if he's the BPA.

Nobody knows what the future holds but as it stands now, Luke Hughes has a chance to play with one of his brothers in the NHL-pretty cool stuff.

*If we win the lotto and pick 1st, I doubt we select LH. I think he will be very excited to see the draft selection order!

If the last few drafts are any indication, I bet we'll be drafting in 5th position. It's our lot, bank on it! <_<

I would joke that the Leafs have missed Gardiner's vacancy on the back end and therefore sought out an alternative deer in the headlights...

But I like BHut - and think he has relatively recovered the past few seasons from some (correctible) problems in his game.

His puck movement here regressed to the point he just could not make sound decisions - confidence looked shattered - wasn't carrying or moving the puck with any assertiveness/confidence.

But he's had a couple respectable seasons on not particularly good teams - has become a decent penalty killer - was always able to skate and has some physicality when he decides to use it.

Wish him the best.  And as much as I loathe the Leafs - if they make it out of the North - they'll probably be the team I back the rest of the way (although I do like the Isles among teams south of the border).

To contemplate cheering for the Leafs is to flirt with abominable sacrilege.

Cardinal Rule #1 in the Canuck fan rule book..... NEVER, AND I MEAN NEVER EVER, under any circumstance cheer for the whiny "we're the center of the hockey universe" Maple Leafs.

To do so requires excommunication from Canuck nation! :frantic:

I know it's not blockbuster stuff, but I like the moves that Benning made. I also understand it has nothing to do with COVID, but Benn is an anti-masker I believe. I didn't think Benn provided enough physicality like I thought he would anyway, and it sheds a bit of cap. The extra picks are nice, even if they are lower. Could be more changes at the Draft? What I found interesting, is Benning saying this isn't a deep draft, so would he actually trade the 1st?

    And....that's bad?????

It's called the Hegelian Dialectic.... the power brokers of society employ dialectical thinking and philosophy to establish a thesis and an antithesis, which results in a synthesis of both/multiple sides.  The psychological & philosophical manipulation of the masses via the illusion of choice.

I have believed that our species as a whole has never been as smart as we think we are, myself included.

Better start eating more fish !

Becoming more stupid? With all the craziness going on in the world, perhaps people are just beginning to realize that as a species, we've been intellectually defunct from the beginning...

yeah, hope the parents get charged with child endargement, the parents need to be  taught this is not, ok.

IMO this just as bad, and maybe worse than leaving your kid locked in your car, while you pop into a store.

I would really like to know the parents story of how this happened.

Good thing we live in a society where people are supposed to be presumed innocent until proven guilty!

This just in, sales of a specific Captain Underpants book soar on ebay/amazon as conservative American voters suddenly decide to give a $&!# about said book

Now that we seem to have a handle on identifying "passive racism" in literary works, perhaps we can now turn our attention to dealing with passive intolerance for people whose opinions and worldview don't match our own?
