  1. Didn't realize you were armless and strapped to a chair with your eyelids taped open while hockey night in Canada is on twenty two tvs all around you...must suck to be FORCED to watch. Me, I use a thing called a remote to change the channel if I don't like what someone is saying or doing on tv, then again, I'm not armless and strapped to a chair.
  2. There is more balance in the lineup leaving it as is. The chemistry he is developing with Booth is something we will need. Imagine actually being able to score and pace the game with three lines instead of 1. Leave him on the third line with Booth and Richardson and let the Bruins try to match that line for size.
  3. Just watched it twice. Sorry Deb. Gazdic is off to Kassian's left while Kassian is directly looking at the oilers bench. On the bench is a player I'm not sure of and right beside him is Gagne. It very much looks like his is addressing Gagne and his jaw protection.
  4. They aren't. Just names on the lines. Think we all know who our centers are. Also, iPhone isn't that fun to type things out pretty. Computer down for a while now.
  5. 2really solid games back to back for Kassian. Looks like he's starting to understand that he needs to work for his ice time. Liking him with Booth. Looking forward to Schroeder getting back. As I've said a few times, Schroeder with Kassian and Booth would be a really good line and would have us with four really solid lines: Sedins Burr Kes Higgy Santo Booth Kass Schroeder Richardson Hansen Weise That's a pretty solid lineup. Great game by Lu! There is so much to like about the Kesler, Higgins and Santorelli line. Bring the A game tomorrow boys.
  6. I love Tort's open comments. He leaves zero to interpretation. Hoping Kass doesn't get gooned in this game. Here's hoping that he works as hard as last game too. Gotta win this one boys.
  7. I saw this Kassian about 7-8 games ago, and probably again 5-6 games before that. If he could ever find the will to compete every night he'd be a good third liner/second liner. Seeing games like this just frustrates me when he quits for the next 5-8 games.
  8. Put Dalpe or Weise or Booth or Higgins or Alberts or Kesler back with the Sedins. Santo, Higgins, Hansen/booth is a good second line.
  9. Lol. The old fail safe of the desperate. It's the coaches fault Kassian sucks...not Kassian's. Awesome. 3 of the best coaches in hockey are to blame for Kassian being lazy. Ruff, AV and Torts are all wrong and stupid, we should leave the coaching of this young player to the brilliant minds of stawns, kasssquatchian and oldnews.
  10. Exactly. The Kassian puck bunnies can't point to any significant stat to say this guy is a good player. He has the fourth worst iFenwick and iCorsi rating on the team for forwards, third worst iFenwick and iCorsi per 60. For a big guy who finished checks, he has only managed 32 hits to date. He isn't doing anything that any other plug couldn't do. Those are the existing FACTS ladies. But I guess when you can't present facts to back up your hyperbole, it's best to make up and fantasize about what could be, right?
  11. Vintage, thank you for always posting clips. You and Mack are awesome. Really appreciate all the extras you do.
  12. Big game, they all are. Some big holes in the lineup, despite the typical CDC nonsense. Burr & Edler are going to be tough to replace. Canucks to a man better buckle down and play hard. With Alberts slotting in that means we just got slower on the back end. Hopefully he plays within his own abilities. Hoping Booth can keep stepping up.
  13. Funny that we can judge Hodgson, who has 17pts in 28 games, second leading scorer on a god awful Sabres team that can't score after their first line and therefore provide really easy matchups for the rest of the NHL. He's young, but apparently completely done developing and on the down swing of his career already going by some comments, while Kassian, Mr. Sweet and soft hands has only 5 goals, 1 assist this year on a much more successful team. Every bs excuse in the world doesn't make Kassian better. 94 pts in 167 gms vs 27 pts in 107 gms. That means that in order for Krappian to be even just as good as Hodgson he has to score 67pts in 60 games. Oh, but we can't compare them that way, not fair. Kassian is younger, he's a power forward, no, he's more of a passer, no, he's a goal scorer and needs elite line mates to prove it, no, he really just needs pp time, no, the coaches are misusing him, blah blah blah. In reality Kassian is a struggling 4th liner who needs to learn how to work like a NHL player or he will be another Jason King, a guy who had a good short run with the Sedins who could never do anything else useful without them.
  14. There is more to hockey than scoring. I see you forgot that there is a defensive part to the game, much like your name sake. It's actually a perfect name, since they are having trouble proving Kassian exists on his own side of the blue line.
  15. No burr. I don't like it when the Canucks play a team missing their stars, for some reason they always seem to lose those games. Anyone know (not guess) what the lines are going to be?
  16. Apparently stupid doesn't have a bottom.
  17. I think he needs a ball buster. A couple of games in the press box, a screaming at during practice. A yelling at in the dressing room. Something has to get his head out of the clouds. I'm not whining about him. I've been saying for a while now that at this point in time he is a third/fourth liner. There is some weird need on CDC to see him in the top 6, and in my opinion if you want to completely ruin his development then you give him that nice reward without him understanding what he did to earn it. I like Torts approach. Put him on the fourth line and dangle the third line carrot. When his play gets him there he will know exactly what got him there. Then dangle the second line carrot. See if he has the will to get there. I he keeps playing the way he had though, uninspired, he gets to see the back flow, 3rd to 4th to press box. I'm not saying he is horrible. He just isn't a first liner. Not because of skill set, anyone can see that he has skill, but that mushy stuff between his ears needs some serious work.
  18. That is the exact same tired excuse given last year! So it's got nothing to do with Kassian, it's all on the coaches? This is one of the more frustrating aspects of any discussion regarding Kassian. For some reason I can't fathom, he is never responsible for his own shortcomings. It's either he's not getting the minutes he needs (screw earning them, that's stupid and only for everyone else to do), he's not getting the line mates he needs (screw that he's a third liner, put him with the Sedins to artificially inflate his numbers so we can say I told you so), the coach isn't being patient with him (every opportunity in the world isn't enough dammit!), he's not getting PP time, he isn't encouraged when he screws up, he is young, he hasn't played 200 games yet, he is really more of a passer, he can't hit every game, he didn't mess up the goalie should have had that, he just lost weight and hasn't adjusted yet, he was too heavy and just lost weight, wait until he's 25, no, 27. Any other Canuck? Well, those are just excuses.
  19. If believing that Kassian is a third/fourth liner who has no business playing first line minutes ahead of any other forward, then sure, I'm a hater. No problem being called that either bunnies.
  20. Carter = earned it. Played hard in preseason and earned his spot on top line. Klatt = earned it. Worked hard from fourth line to first, every shift, every game, never took a night off. Burrows = earned it. No explanation needed. Pyatt, Bernier & Kassian earned demotions. That's what is given to lazy half assed players who work once every five games. Really starting to hate this group of Kassian bunnies who think that he should be thrown on this first line because he scored some goals once. Guess what bunnies, so did the Brabarian, that doesn't make him a first liner.
  21. Because two goals or less in 13 of 15 games is the sign of a bad goalie now? Go back to watching cricket.
  22. That trade is just ugly. Looks like CDC isn't the only place where people try to trade trash for good players. Hamhuis for an aging forward (we don't need another forward who can't score) a Russian d-man who has a I'm going home clause (we don't need another offensive defenseman who can't play in his end) and a goalie for some reason..what the hell do we do with Lack then? Not a single player in that deal helps us even a little but completely stabilizes their d-corps.
  23. This isn't about scoring. It's his complete lack of compete, his unwillingness to go to the dirty areas, his piss poor body checks, his terrible defensive awareness and his ridiculous God status here on CDC. You'd think this kid craps candy canes the way people talk about him. I've never seen such a lazy, weak player labelled "elite powerforward" so quickly.
