This is an issue that MG has repeatedly failed to address every year that he has been here. What did he do this off season to correct our three main issues last year, which were: 1. Secondary scoring 2. Size and sandpaper. 3. Youth. 1. List Roy to free agency, lost Raymond to free agency. Signed...well, nobody. He chose instead to appear that he was doing something by adding more 4th liners/fringe AHL players, Richardson, Dalpe, Santorelli, who he got lucky with as he has produced this far. He sat back and told everyone that Booth would be back and that was like adding a 2nd line player, except we've had him for three years now and his presence has done nothing to correct this problem. 2. Team toughness. He signed Sestito to 2 year deal. A guy who can barely skate faster than most 10 year olds and this renders himself as useless. He kept Weise, who despite what people will say about his time in Europe, stinks. He isn't physical enough. Other than that he lost Lappiere one of our most physical players and hits leaders, signed Richardson and Dalpe. He also picked up Stanton. Decent 3rd pairing d-man who has been everything but physical. Another Tanev type. 3. We all know how this went. This team isn't younger. There will be no youth unless there are more injuries. Gillis either failed to Draft an impact player or lied about the youth movement, neither is very good.

Just sayin in all seriousness now, we won't be able to judge that trade until the body of work of the players involved is completed. All we know is some people really like Cody. cough. Not hard to judge at all: Cody - 145gms 36g 46a 82pts Zack - 84gms 11g 10a 21pts Zack has to score 61pts in 61 games to MATCH Cody. Not bloody likely to happen. Why can't people like you get this? Hodgson is by far the more skilled player. Zack has physicality and that's it. Everything else Cody is better at. It was a bad trade.

Most accurate post here. A Canadian funded station should not show any biased opinion or broadcasting. That is not how they do it though. In all reality the early games should be evenly split between Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa. West should be split between Vancouver, Winnipeg, Calgary and Edmonton right up until CBC runs itself with no government funding, them they can be as biased as they want.

If the Sedins were Canadian they would be worshipped on CDC. They led the Canucks just as far as the vaunted Linden did. The Sedins and Luongo get less than half the respect linden and McLean get though and I think that speaks volumes about the "fan base" for the Canucks.

Chris Tanev is one of those players that gets entirely too much praise and credit, the exact opposite of Edler in fact. Tanev type players are a dime a dozen. There would be little to no impact on the Canucks if he wasn't out there. He's just a 5-6 defenseman but people praise him as if he's a top 3 defenseman. Could not care less if he signs, sits or gets offer sheeted. He is easily replaceable.

Why anyone is responding to the obvious troll is beyond me. Variable's rankings seem to be based on uniform color. In all honesty, I'm just proud of the kid for not only finding his keyboard, but almost typing complete and legible sentences. That has to be hard with that many chromosomes missing.

Tippett will bring a tighter system than AV did! He would be a HORRIBLE choice to work with this team. If you bring in Tippett might as well ship out any offensive player & prospect. Not what this team needs at all.
