Yes Trevor is a nice man and all. BUT if the team starts losing next season and goes out the playoff picture the blame game will start. People will start to point fingers and Trevor could be the target. See the thing is when fans see their team start to lose, some will start to blame Trevor for his inexperience etc. Look at Obama, how is was worshipped early on and when he started to make bad decisions he become an ordinary president.

I'm all in for change in terms of management but the real change needed lies in the core that has been preserved by Gillis. To put it simply I hope Linden tries to change it not just the bottom six. Because they have been given enough chances but always seemed to get fragile when playoffs come.

The media doesn't really care if that person was a great player or person, all they care about is make something to read about and exaggerating . I don't think anyone is immune to that even if it will be Linden. Don't get too naive, you might get disappointed .

Thinking about it I think we needed a new young voice that can bring a new sense of energy into the organization, Trevor fits that profile. Just hope the new gm is also a new ambitious assistant gm that is thrilled to become a gm for the first time. If you look at coaching for example, usually young coaches like Bylsma bring energy to the team and have higher rate of success. Perhaps all this is due to there enthusiasm and energy that they bring to their new job.
