  1. I more interested in seeing Gauncer at main camp. I think that he excels playing with fast players, because he's a very good passer and responsible Defensively. Hope he plays tomorrow with Jensen and either Franson or Shink.

  2. Dude, give it a rest. Your post implied he could be called up multiple times and that Jensen wouldn't have gotten ice time in the AHL considering all the NHL talent playing there. The OHL can have overagers but that never would have affected Jensen as he was already one of the top players on the Generals and there never would have been enough to impact the roster since there's a limit of 3 on a roster.

Dude, stop assuming. You talk like Horvat playing on the Canucks would be an all or nothing affair. He's not our only prospect and we only have so many roster spots. I expect Horvat will get a couple of games after his season with the Knights. Other prospects will do the same and we'll have something of a revolving door.

Not quite. I thought he'd be stuck under Christian Thomas again and didn't realize Thomas was born in 92 not 93.

I'm not assuming anything. I said nothing about whether or not that's what you intended, or even anything about if I agree with either one of you (who's assuming now?), only that your post reads that way for me and other posters. That is a fact based on the multiple posters that replied thinking the same thing.

    Bo KNOWS!

  3. yes that's what I meant too. Regardless of the "best" that have played the game, the majority of captains in the NHL today are lead by example guys not these speeches vocal ones. That's what the coach is for imo.

    Preaching to the Choir...

  4. Most captains are lead by example guys rather than vocal ones. Just look at all the current guys and past greats.

By most you mean "the best" right? Always have played sports, successful teams have a leader who gets everyone to buy in, but not by telling them to buy in, by showing them how to buy in. Once you have that, doesn't matter how much skill you have, you can compete with every team, LA Kings are a good example. Or the SA Spurs, look at Russel Wilson with the Seahawks, the guy believes in himself and team mates and he shows that on the field. Either Bo or Brendan could be a leader for the nucks, I think they might be a very solid team, because they both have that leading quality and could feed off each other.

  5. cap space is available in case one of those two 18 year old's really show up and stick after the first few games. MG's gotta leave it open to allow them some room on the team. I doubt they will make it, but better to leave the door open for them. Really want to see Gaunce on Kesler's wing, especially after how he played with Graovac this past year. Belleville's line was Gaunce Graovac Brassard, which we have in Gaunce Kesler Kassian. We already know he can be successful offensively in that role, and still was named top defensive froward in the OHL. Gaunce Kesler shutdown, Kassian clearing bodies and controlling some board play, crashing the net, etc...

Could be a nice line if not this year then next?

  6. Yeah that highlight reel of him in the playoffs totally sold me. I was open minded to the trade for Bo originally as long as Lu came back but now im totally sold. Plus he acts like hes 25 already. Very mature and who doesnt want a face-off specialist?

I know right? Initially I was concerned because Bo's numbers in Junior regular season are not outstanding, but it's his ability to raise his game and match up against opponents that might be considered better than him and help the team come out on top. He's such a complete player I think he's going to be our MVP for many years. I really hope him and Shinkaruk play on the same line this summer and at WJC because they would be a good fit in my mind. he just wants to win at all costs, and that is infectious in the dressing room. I have had enough of NHL guys checking in and out depending on the night. He seems like he will only get better everyday.

  7. Check Horvats highlights from playoffs and Mem Cup this year. Any doubters will change their minds. For me he is really similar to Dustin Brown, competes extremely hard, good shot, good speed, good vision, plays PP and PK well. Gotta like him as a safe pick to be in the NHL as a second or first liner.

  8. STOKED ON TORTS! just watching his post games on youtube... Man this guy will make listening to the team 1040 and any post game stuff way better. Hopefully our boys can just get down to business and play hockey while he's doing the talky talky.

Stevens is still a good option. I just think torts is what we need till the sedins are retired

  9. Common Gaunce! How can we swindle Graovac from Minni? I like them playing together. He's only a 7th rounder... Where were you Gillis? Jk I think we got Tommernes that year pretty decent pickup in the 7th.

I realy feel like it will be a London vs Belleville final. Don't know if the Rangers can slow down the Knights.

would love to see Gaunce Man handle Domi though.

  10. Rodin could be such a good player. Dono if the AHL is best for his development though. He's one of those players that does well when he has the puck and some time with it. I hope he can play with jensen next year if jensen plays in the A. They would work well together. He's a top 6 forward, but only if he's playing with the right guys, can't do it himself or with the likes of our top 6 in the A. Has he played with Schoerder in the A seems like he would do well with a playmaker...

I really hope this guy pans out to be a great player in the next 2-3 years. Once he get's healthy and gets that hunger to play in the NHL again. Needs that chip on his shoulder if he wants to succeed just like hansen plays fast hits hard, stays in the rules though.
