    A broken thumb is so minor that anyone making a big deal of it is laughable. You want him to put on weight then taking a break will help with that. You don't gain muscle when you exercise, you gain muscle during the off day when your muscles repair themselves and add more strength to that area. He had a long season  with playoffs and played two tournaments this year. A mandatory break is probably going to actually do him better in the long run. I would like and assume Pettersson will sign and play for the Canucks next year but if he doesn't it will still be exciting seeing him break all the records in the league he plays in.

    EP actually has 51 points in 41 games, he scored in his last game.

    Development isn’t always linear. You have to look at where his skill is trending not how low his dips are or how high his peaks are. Maybe sitting regrouping and getting a rest mentally and physically is best for a young players development.

    Yea that must be why they have copious amounts of season tickets left.

    So #canucks will now be paying Luongo and Booth not to play in VAN, Gillis not to GM and Tortorella not to coach. #prunestowalkaway

    sigh.

    This is stupid. The Fans were getting restless and needed a change. The money the owner will spend paying those people will be nothing compared to how much they make if this is successful. Even if it isn't the excitement and thrill of Linden and Benning as GM alone is worth the money because it will put @$$3$ in the seats.

    I don't care if they make the playoffs, they just have to keep playing like the past couple games and I will be entertained. But making the playoffs = less time I have to wait until next season to watch the Canucks :)
