vcr1970
I'm reading a lot of posts that say Luongo is still a top 10 goalie in this league and should get a big return, but the reality of it all is he's the 2nd best goalie on his own team, and given there's 30 teams in the league, he's likely out of the top 10. If all the goalies were in a pool and you had to draft 1 of them for a 1 year chance at winning the cup, how would you rank the top 10. Here's mine: 1)Rinne 2)Quick 3)Thomas (assuming he would play) 4)Lundqvist 5)Kiprusoff 5)Brodeur 6)Fleury 7)Miller 8)Smith 9)Schneider 10)Elliott This doesn't even factor in the likes of Howard, Halak, Backstrom, Price, Nabokov, or Khabibulin. I would say Luongo fits into the 11 - 15 slot, but defintely not into the 1 - 10 slot.

Master Mind
Why would you put in Thomas knowing that he won't be playing next year?? Top 5 would be something like: (in no particular order) Lundqvist Quick Rinne Luongo Smith The next 5 would be any of Price Rask Schneider Halak Miller Brodeur Fleury Kipper
