EdgarM
The Sedins need something new and refreshing..............Like a new team. It is time to trade them while they are still worth something. I am tired of players who cannot participate in shootouts, penalty kills and cannot look after them selves in the playoffs. Where is Trevor Linden when you need him? Schneider is a good goalie but he has not proved anything. Trade him and keep Lou. No body wants Lou's contract anyway and we would get nothing trading him. Schneider will command something. Ballard has never been given a chance to be a regular. Thanks AV. He has speed and can move the puck and can add a nice hip check every once and a while. Shroeder played better than Ebbett,Sestito, Ballard as a forward, etc.etc and he has not played a single playoff game. Thanks again AV. Oh yeah and did I say fire AV? Beiksa and Edler are playing brutal and so what does he do? He pairs them together and makes them the top D-Pair grrrrr! Keep Garrison,Hamhuis and Ballard. Make Edler a PP specialist like the Sedins are regular season specialists and put Garrison on the first PP for god's sake! Kick Raymond to the curb, he is useless. Re-sign Roy, he is a good player who has not had a good chance to play with some quality wingers. Send Kassian down for more seasoning, he is not ready for the NHL yet . Make Kesler the top Center and Roy the second line center and work around that. Get a big mean D-Man(Pronger,Chara) and a power forward and go from there. canucks_dynasty
Just for fun.... Offseason (provided NTC/NMC are waived) Trades: (add whatever picks on either side to balance trades) Luongo + Kesler to PIT for Sutter + Despres + Bennett (depends on PIT trading Fleury) Sedins to NYR for Kreider + Brassard + McIlrath Edler to PHI for Couterier Burrows to MTL for Tinordi Ballard to DET for 2nd 2013 Booth + Schroeder to NYI for Niederreiter Re-sign Weise to 2yrs @ $0.7M/yr (I didn't know who else to get) Canucks get younger, faster, bigger, cheaper. Forward group gutted. Problem is that they're really young and maybe lacking toughness. Will rely on the veterans to provide the leadership. Kept Defence mostly intact since I think that position takes longer to develop. Line up... Brassard Couterier Kassian Kreider Sutter Niederreiter Jensen Gaunce Bennett Higgins Lain Hansen Weise Hamhuis Bieksa Garrison Tanev Despres Corrado Tinordi McIlrath Schneider Lack
Shinguard
Sedins are the core of the core and the core is too soft to win a cup. Trade the Sedins to a team interested in a second line and get that one proven power player better than both of them, plus others and picks. Add strength to the core. The Sedins have had their chance here. Its over for them. They need to be team guys and go quietly.
Shinguard
In other words, will MG channel his inner Holmgren or will the comfort of first round playoff money mean superficial changes. Does the organization have the same passion to win a cup as the fans do?
