Rangers management isn’t smart enough. They should have cashed a couple of these underperforming but highly touted names last year as well. Their draft pedigree still probably carried more weight than they’re actually worth and their team was close. They didn’t want to pay the price to get a top guy for the playoff push and in turn gave away the season on a year they may have had their best chance. Miller last year instead of Copp could have been the difference.

I don’t think that Miller, at 7x8, is tradeable. Especially since is so poor on defense and a disruptive influence on the team.  When I did my “Who’s In, who’s out “ proposal, I didn’t even mention Miller as a tradeable asset because I think that the Canucks would be able to find a trade partner for Miller.
