Not the way to create a non existent 2nd line.

Vrbata as a scorer was an example. Right now a mentor isn't what will make this team play in the playoffs or improve long term. Guys alike Matt Moulson being signed long term is exactly what these team needs. We have a non existent 2nd line hole that needs to be filled long term and a mentor is the last thing needed right now.

I just don't see the logic in going after a older veteran over a guy like Matt Moulson, Vrbata, etc. We need scoring that will last longer than two years and not at the end of their careers. This year is going to be abysmal with what were going after so far.

Pretty frustrating for big baseball fans, though. definitely beats any 2K game on Xbox. Still, not like people buy a PS for the baseball games, so you would think they would sell the rights to an Xbox studio for royalties.

What an awful idea for a sports game by whoever developed this game (unless sony owns the studio). Missing a whole sector of the market. Sales could easily double. Been wanting to play a great MLB on Xbox for way too long, as I felt the 2K really lacked a lot. Last decent one, but not even realistic, was The Bigs.

Is comparable in some ways, but still different players, and dropped in production within the west. Kesler could have easily worn the C on another team as well, although thats an assumption. Trading your captain says enough for him being a captain to be a mute point. Especially when many feel the trade was made for character reasons.

Still no 40 goal year with a selke. That's hard to come by within this league. Especially in the past 5 years. Watching Kesler play, including for an Olympic USA team, it's not hard to tell his high value. He's not the player to move from this team to improve us short, nor long term. It's our depth in defence that can improve this much needed scoring and addition to our top six, and finally create a second line. I understand the value you put on Richards at the time, and the market situation at that time, but that was also an interesting situation there in Philly with an over hall of trades. I see the comparison but I find the players different than one another, as you can see a decline in Richards production since coming to the western conference, which has an impact. Many GM's take that into an account as well.

Over valuing those players heavily.

I have no idea how people think the right idea is to trade Kesler. Ridiculous to trade one of our few legitimate centre's who can play one of the best two way games. We need to ADD to our top six, not stay the same or lose it. Our defensive depth should be what is moved for an addition to our top two lines to actually create legitimate 2nd line, for once.

A trade for Matt Moulson and going after Callahan in the summer is a nice goal to have, hopefully.

It's no coincidence he hasn't been the same since the Duncan Keith elbow. It's annoying to talk about, but it's still truly unbelievable how little Keith got for that, compared to suspensions given in the past. Not about conspiracy within the league, but clearly politics have a play in this stuff, as this is a perfect example of it. No debate to whether there was intent to hurt or at the very least recklessness. Also possibly another example of how sometimes the league doesn't appreciate guys like the Sedins compared to the other prominent stars. If that elbow happened to Getzlaf, Perry, Kane, etc., there is no way it would be looked at with such leniency. All said before but it's hard not to bring it up when it's heavily effecting this team.

That's just an average team if i've ever seen one. Not much else to say about the status of this team this year.

Just inform followers quickly and have an opinion that some appreciate.

SO tired of the fixation on finding bottom six players. This team is FILLED with solid bottom six players and role players, when this team has clearly needed scoring and skill for years. Management's goal should only be striving for gaining top six scoring and that alone. Adding more bottom six role players will just stretch this problem and continue our lack of scoring and clutter this team even more.

Pretty sure Shinkaruk also only has the options for NHL or junior. But Gaunce will be in Utica.
