  1. @Vintage Canuck Would you have time to take a try at this? Please. I know your a busy guy, beating everyone to the post, like the stud you are lol.
  2. I'm looking for the meme that says, Find someone that looks at you, the way Boeser and Pettersson look at each other. It was something along those lines. Anybody have that? Or any funny Canuck valentine memes.
  3. He is but I dont want to harrass the guy about non hockey stuff. Just if anyone can spare the effort or if it looks like a fun project for them.
  4. Been a member here a long time, long enough to know some of you are mindblowingly good at photoshop or whatever magic you work. Looking for help with a guild emblem. If I post some pictures can you take inspiration with that and run with it? My concept is the Canadian flag picture as a background, with the Battle axe skull and crossbones overlayed ontop, without any of the word marks just graphic. And the WeTheNorth wordmark as a header on the big picture. Or in an even better font you pros do. Other than that, creative freedom is yours. Hope someone has time to help and show off their skills. Thanks!
  5. I agree the Sabres have vastly improved. I guess my point was that, young teams show flashes of brilliance but often take extra years to put together the consistency. Whether it be the young guys, or the supporting pieces, or the right coach for that group. Whatever the circumstances are, it takes some time for it to come together and be the real deal.
  6. Young teams are streaky, happens around the league every year. Edmonton and Buffalo have started out hot in the first month and by christmas are near the bottom of the league. This year they are sustaining it so far, but who knows what will happen there too. We have alot of youth, with that comes high highs and low lows. The season is long, we will see what this group is made of. Worst case scenario.... it's a strong draft and our pick is lotto protected.
  7. Ugh I always miss these games! I watch and they blow a 5-1 lead. I dont want and they win 7-1. Great freakin job nucks! Hope LA is more of the same.
  8. I'm impressed with the crowd, I can actually hear them. Boys got em goin
  9. Watching tonight! I'm on days off finally, if we lose I'll take the blame.
  10. I'm glad he is going down, he can play a big role for Utica, instead of sitting in the press box. I think he is NHL quality, but we seem to have better for once. It will benefit his all around fame, he isn't going to pout, he's a driven kid with a pro attitude. He'll be back when the inevitable injuries happen.
  11. Markstrom sure has been good, hard to want to let him go. Demko being younger and potentially just as good is a consideration too, depends on how that potential does over the next couple seasons here. I wonder what it would take to get seattle to pick Eriksson.
  12. We don't have to trade one now, I agree, was speaking about before the expansion. Which is out of our control, but losing a prime asset for nothing may cause some fuss. If Demko reaches his potential, which he is on trajectory to do so still. I would keep him and unload Markstrom. But not yet, if at all.
  13. While no one is demanding a trade, their is a deadline on making a deal with the expansion draft coming. Overly optimistic but Demko could be better than Schneids, minimum just as good, I agree he should have great value. They knew Brodeur was retiring and had nothing in the system behind him, some would say they saw the problem coming. We should sign Marky and wait for the right deal to come along, I just don't know which goalie should be moving out yet. Or if losing a goalie at the draft, will help us protect an even more important player within. I haven't broken down who needs protection yet. I don't disagree with your thought process, only the estimated return. I would be happy to be wrong here.
  14. I agree, good teams consistently beat bad teams. Lose-Lose situation for some people out there, if we lose to bottom feeders we suck, if we win we still suck because they were bottom feeders? The boys got it done, be happy. Not planning a parade or even a playoff party at this point, they will be tested against the Capitals here soon and others. But those people should just be enjoying the wins.
  15. You have posted this hopeful return for Demko a couple times now. I have to disagree here, Our own Cory Schneider returned the highest ever draft pick for a goalie in a trade, and it was straight up. As others have mentioned. He was far more proven, more years in the league, bigger sample size. Demko is going to return as good of a pick, and a top prospect? It's just very unlikely, especially in a time where goalies are going for less and less it would seem. A mid to late first at best, if he performs as we all hope, with no extra prospects, is more realistic. I would rather sign and trade Markstrom if Demko performs that well I think. Haven't broken down the big picture of who we will have to expose yet beyond goalies, is exposing Markstrom and risking losing him, but saving another player of ours, more valuable than anyone we could bring in from trading him? Main point here, Neither goalie is getting Detroit first and a top prospect. Especially not with Stevie Y running the ship there.
  16. Your not the only one... I'll be home to watch the next couple weeks of games though! Maybe Boeser or Petey can get one.
  17. Hopefully he takes a team friendly deal I agree. He may not have reached his potential without the Canucks, maybe he will take less to stay.
  18. Your not looking at the bigger picture and what this thread is really all about. I agree with the above posters on this page here. Keeping both until the draft may just allow us to save someone else, a forward or a dman. Let them take the lesser of 2 goalies at that time.
  19. While his value may be higher, I think our possible returns may be lower the closer to expansion we wait. Teams are going to know we have to unload one or lose him. I don't want to trade either lol, crap situation.
  20. That's not going to be enough money at this rate. I was hoping around that same price tag, I'm starting to think 6mil will be the starting point.
  21. I want to keep both absolutely, the question is will we lose one to seattle in an expansion draft? Do you risk that? Do you move one? Tough call
