  1. Check out the clenched jaw on buddy next to him.
  2. I'll buy myself a nice 12 pack for this purpose and pray I finish it by seasons end.
  3. New. Knife. Party. Song. First new song in like 3 years, and boy is it good. The Pegboard Nerds EP (Full Hearts EP) that Harpoon was released on is absolutely amazing as well.
  4. Theres so much equipment there I have no clue how to use haha, the idea of mixing in some new workouts is exciting.
  5. Went in to check it out today, I almost wept. Will gladly pay 3 times the price for 10 times the gym.
  6. Looks pretty nice Edit: Found the answer to one my question.
  7. I was there from 2-4, so no luck there lol. Honestly, not far. I'd prefer to stay in Surrey at the very least.
  8. Just moved to Surrey and started hitting up the Club 16 at Surrey Central. Man there's a lot of douchebags there. Not nearly enough equipment either. The Club 16 in Coquitlam wasn't great, but it was far better. The gym in Surrey is only like a 3 minute drive from my place, but I think I might start looking at some other options if I'm still not digging by the end of the month. Any recommendations?
  9. Then you, like I, mean nothing to the EA NHL team. All they care about it the money gets fed into HUT and apparently now player customization. The offline modes are dead for the NHL series and likely will be for a while because there is no money in it. On another note, HUT is the absolute worst game mode. I really don't see the appeal at all. It's basically a crappy stripped down version of GM Connected, but with cards.
  10. Probably a result of the unproven groping case against him. https://www.huffingtonpost.ca/entry/jameis-winston-suspension-uber_us_5b2cdf51e4b00295f15ba01c
  11. Will reserve judgement until they announce/don't announce any improvements Be a Pro or GM Mode. Both are easily the worst of any sports franchise and have in terms of what there is, and what they add year to year.
  12. Picking on the Seahawks is also a lot of fun. While there are lots of diehard fans (especially in Seattle), it's curious how many "lifelong Seahawks fans" started appearing here in BC in 2013. Most of them are extremely thin skinned.
  13. The DUI was pretty bad, he tried to make it seem like it was an "oops I took a bit too much of whatever and made a mistake", but the toxicology report is pretty damning. It doesn't take a doctor to know you shouldn't be driving while being on opiods, xanax, ambien, and marijuana. Like cmon. And just look at how rocked he was lol. I think all the injuries and the scrutiny really messed with his mojo. No doubt he was one of the best golfers of all-time in his prime, but those days look long gone.
  14. He also got charged with a DUI and is essentially irrelevant as top golfer nowadays (hasn't won a thing since 2013). He flamed out big time.
  15. Where did you buy your ephedrine? Went into the supplement store by my gym and asked if they carried any, and the employees there told me that they "legally weren't allowed to carry it anymore", which apparently isn't true in the slightest lol.
  16. Not unhappy with the McGlinchey pick. I think he went a bit high, but Garoppolo needs protection and he's the best Tackle prospect in the draft. Ward going to the Browns at #4 was super surprising don't think he was worth that pick. And the new details surrounding Reuben Foster's legal troubles make it seem like he will be available to us, which kind of negated our dire need for a LB. Getting OLine help not a bad call at all.
  17. Watching this life was one of the best moments of my entire life. Thank you Tim.
  18. For the Niners at #9. 1. Denzel Ward 2. Tremaine Edwards 3. Roquan Smith Hope we trade down though. We need help in a lot of places. If we could get a first and another early pick (hopefully another 1st or an early 2nd depending on which team we are trading with), and end up adding a CB, WR, and an LB after our 50th pick I'd be super happy.
  19. I had a guy the other day ask me if he could store his Burberry jacket (which he made a point of telling me cost $4000) in my locker, because he thought the gym would have quarter lockers like a community center and didn't have a lock himself. Like 1) who the hell wears a $4000 jacket to the gym, 2) why are you going to a $16 a month gym if you own a $4000 jacket that you wear casually, and 3) buy yourself your own lock buddy!
  20. Mainly I just want to look good, but end of the day I'd still like to see some progress with my strength as well. Will probably keep using the straps for a bit, and mix in a little more grip focused workouts as well, grip strength in general is always something good to have. Used the straps today and was hitting 5x of 395, so a definite improvement. Best burn I've gotten in a while from my deadlifts for sure. Good call.
  21. I've got a set of straps that I used to use way back in the day when I first started lifting. Ditched them when I realized my grip strength was absolutely horrible and decided to really focus on improving it. Might not be a bad idea to dust them off and see how she goes.
  22. Did my 1st 5x 345lbs squat and first 5x 245 bench sets this week, which I'm super pumped about, especially since I'm on the lower end of my weight range right now. However my deadlifts have stalled if not regressed over the past few months. I was at the point where I could usually hammer out 3 if not 4 reps at 405, now I'm struggling to hit the 3rd rep at 395, and often can't even finish it. More than anything I'm just finding it hard to keep holding the bar and my grip gives out, I often don't even feel much of a burn in my legs by the time I give out. Super frustrating. Anybody have any good grip strength tips/bar holding techniques that have worked for them?
