Yeah, support Luongo! I would never considered luongo haters a Canucks fan, to me they are just ignorant idiots who knows nothing about being a goaltender and what teamwork is all about!! That being said, I definitely wouldn't mind seeing Schneider get some starts! We have 2 excellent goaltenders and its wise to make good of them in the playoffs!

The pressure will be on whoever is in net. Luongo will get the first crack at it and I hope he never gives it back to Cory (love Cory, but if Luongo plays well, we will not need Cory). Every series will be a battleground and Luongo has the ability to shift that momentum in our favor.

Go Canucks Go!

Luuuu's got my full support - I think he relishes playing LA and is going to lock it down

Luongo is a good goalie. Nobody denies that if you look at the stats. But eventually he has to prove himself in the playoffs. He has my respect until he chokes in the playoffs. At which time I will shake my head and look the other way.

I really hope he doesn't choke. I want the guy to do well and win a Stanley Cup.

Luongo is the man, I am a firm believer. I don't care about all the stupid media and stuff, he has crappy games, but like OP said, support him all the way!

Let's go LUU!!! Great Save Luongo like what Jim Hughson would say! :-)

Going to game 7 of the SCF isn't enough proof for you? Give your head a shake.

The hate for the man is even more unbelievable. Have you already forgotten that hockey is a team sport? It's not a one-man show.

Don't get to game 7 of the SCF with a "choke" goalie. I'll never understand the label. Luongo has had some glaring mistakes in games but his overall playofff performance has been splendid.

I will always have my permanent spot on the Luongo bandwagon.

What series were you watching? How many goals did Luongo let in? Yeah...that's what I thought.

Goalies who want to win a Cup don't let in 8 goals in a game.

But I'm supporting him this year because I believe in second chances. So I'll give him my support.

Canucks vs Chicago
Canucks vs Nashville
Canucks vs San Jose
Canucks vs Boston

Now your basic assumption is that he didn't want to win the cup because the team had a poor game? We may as well neglect the two shutouts he posted. I've said this before, and I'll say it again, hockey is a team sport.

I can't fathom why anyone would want the support of a bandwagon fan.

Just because I have legit concern, doesn't make me a bandwagon fan. I already said I think he is a good goalie. He just needs to prove he can be consistent in the play-offs.

I would be more concerned about the PK performing well.

Luongo let in 7 ES goals against in that 6 game series. The Kings scored 10 PP goals in those 6 games.

100% agree. Luongo has a bit of a fragile ego I think, and if he blows it one game and the fans give it to him (which is in their right), he probably will be worse off the next game for it rather than "try harder". He is a great goalie, but as per what the OP said - he can't be on every single night.

I've always supported him and I always will.

I just want the fans to keep cheering on Luongo. Even after a bad goal just keep Lu-ing and stay on HIS side. This is our HOME building.

He is OUR goalie, what is booing him going to accomplish?

Shanahan went soft on Keith.

Keith is a pretty ugly dude after all....

Fun Fact of the Night: Luongo has logged more playoff minutes (2752) than any other goaltender in the league over the past 3 post-seasons.

4 Shutouts in the 2011 Playoffs...
15 Wins...
Only Vancouver goalie with a winning record in the playoffs (other than John Garrett's 1-0, as he points out)
Took the team to Game 7 of the Finals...

He deserves to be given the ball. Having two goalies who can steal a series is never a bad thing.

Hey y'all.
I know it's become as fashionable to torch Luongo when he struggles as much as it is to torch a cop car after a SFC loss but I think this whole town, media included, has to lay off this guy. It starts with the fans.

I'm as guilty as getting upset with the guy too but the truth is no top goalie in the league is ON every night. It's become almost trendy to hate on the guy. Tim Thomas, Brodeur and others have had their struggles this year too. Every big time goalie or player struggles at some point every year.

Yes, Corey Schneider is awesome but that doesn't mean Luongo isn't. Corey is just the new toy.
If Luongo has a crap game in the playoffs, Schneids will get in but it doesn't mean Luongo sucks. It means we have two great capable goalies. Let's support them both - even on a bad night. Otherwise, we're the ones who get into Luongo's head because our boos will feed the media and they'll ask him questions and it snowballs. Then we call him fragile but we're partly to blame.

Luongo has been crappy in certain games/series in recent years but the team has played super crappy in front of him.

Starting with me, I'm going to stop being so hard on him and help support him no matter what. Let's get out of his head and into his heart. And who knows, maybe it helps us get that shiny trophy and a parade.

Am I the only one who seen this? Crap & Lou should not be used in the same sentence, maybe had a bad game, but crap, haha

Anywho, I am all for Lou in net, play like you can Lou play like you can, its the D in front I am worried about, some untimely gaffes don't help

Whoever is between the pipes during this playoff run will have my 100% confidence.

I honestly want to hear a massive chant for Luongo in game #1 to get/keep his confidence. Not just the "luooooooo's", but an actual 30 second + chant.

God i wish i could afford to go to a game this post-season, I would be trying to start stuff all game. This arena is way too quiet.

Lou had better play better because he gives up almost .5 goals a game more than Quick in La and Schneider for Vancouver !! Lets hope !
