I've seen some stupid trades that have just made some teams have so much leverage. AmazingNuck Posted July 24, 2012 Share Posted July 24, 2012 Same here. Trading away picks to get a couple in the 1st or a couple in the beginning of the 2nd is very worth it. I mean, look at Toronto: 2 picks in the 1st, and Rinne and Byfuglien are acquired. That's lucky. Even Florida, they very much benefited from most getting goalies in the 1st round. Out of that they get both Sedin's. Montreal has 34th and 36th, so potentially will get 2 superstars. I've been offering teams trying to move up from 50th with no biters.
