Martin Frk
I have to agree, Nash is overrated and Columbus got a pretty solid package returning, but the Rangers wanted him, so they got him

Venom52
Kind of reminds me of the Joe Thornton trade out of Boston. The Bruins got a terrible return from the Sharks (WAY worse than this), but they managed to build a contender still and win the cup before Joe or the Sharks did. Mr. White
What a horrible trade for Howsen. If I was him I would of said you give me one of Stepan, Del Zotto, or Callahan or no deal.
Stanley to Vancouver
Safe to say Howson will be looking for new employment soon. Dubinsky is alright but if erixon didnt want to play in calgary pretty sure he doesnt want to play in columbus. Rangers got the way better of the deal. Fozzy
What's your point? This trade was considered a joke. Everyone knows quantity shouldn't buy quality when it comes to elite players. Columbus got garbage back. If I was a fan I'd rather have taken a top 5 pick than this garbage.
Phil_314
I don't understand why everyone says Howson's getting so badly ripped off... the forward group just became much deeper (still not great but a start and there are definitely serviceable younger pieces, surrounded by decent complementary scorers to work with) Dubinsky - Johansen - Umberger Foligno - Brassard - Atkinson Prospal - Anisimov - Dorsett Getting Erixon though could really have fortified their position of strength, and if I'm him I would try to work in Murray and his new D acquisition while trading one of these young prospect parts with Bob and a 1st (probably not their own) for a starting goalie. Johnson - Tyutin Nikitin - Wisniewski Murray/ Erixon/ Moore - Aucoin (New goalie?) Mason That wouldn't look too bad, if they could pry someone solid to play in goal they could be in business. LanghorneslimRules
Ryan Johansen will not play ahead of brassard or anismov.
Bodee
I bet the Rangers just got rid of all their depth for one player.... That's how Sather rolls.
