-AJ-
Here we go! Number 22! Only Jari Kurri had more than one that one nomination on the last one. He had two. So Jari Kurri was added to the list. Congratulations to Brett Hull for being named the #21 Player of All-Time! This is the first time that a player was added to the list, then immediately voted in. Please remember to nominate one player to add to the poll list next. The List: #1 - Wayne Gretzky #2 - Mario Lemieux #3 - Bobby Orr #4 - Gordie Howe #5 - Maurice Richard #6 - Steve Yzerman #7 - Nicklas Lidstrom #8 - Doug Harvey #9 - Joe Sakic #10 - Patrick Roy ---------------------- #11 - Mark Messier #12 - Mike Bossy #13 - Martin Brodeur #14 - Jean Beliveau #15 - Ray Bourque #16 - Jaromir Jagr #17 - Marcel Dionne #18 - Bobby Hull #19 - Paul Coffey #20 - Dominik Hasek ---------------------- #21 - Brett Hull
-AJ-
For the fourth time in a row, I'm voting for the legendary Eddie Shore. This man was arguably the best player who played in the 30's and was, without a doubt, the best defenseman in the first 30 years of the NHL and probably the best until Doug Harvey came along. He won an amazing four Hart Trophies. That is more than both Bobby Orr and Mario Lemiuex. Only Wayne Gretzky and Gordie Howe have won the Hart more times. He would've surely won many Norris Trophies too, but the trophy didn't exist during his tenure in the NHL. For the second time in a row, I'll nominate Dale Hawerchuk. This guy had a pretty underrated career because he never won a cup, but he was one best consistent offensive forces in the game in the 80s and the early 90s. He had a crazy rookie year with 103 points (winning the Calder) and finished his career with 6 seasons of 100 or more points. Only 5 players have had 100 or more points more often. He topped out at 53 goals and 77 assists for an incredible 130 points in 1984-85. He's still at 18th All-Time in career points with 1,409 points. -AJ-
An interesting fact. Of the players on the list, both Guy Lafleur and Phil Esposito were on the list since the voting for #1. Obviously they still haven't been voted in.
Hamhuis2
I'm surprised to see Ron Francis still here. The guy played 25 seasons in the NHL and is 4th all time in points.
