It's all just media spin. They love to make stories out of nothing.

Media: Joe Thornton and the Sedins don't show up for the playoffs.

Reality: Thornton and the Sedins have led their teams offensively almost every year in the playoffs and are around a point per game almost every playoffs.

Media: Chris Kreider had an incredible playoffs and is a lock for the Calder

Reality: Kreider put up 5G, 2A, and a -4 in 18 games. Extrapolated over 82 games, that works out to 23G, 9A, 32P, and a -18. Extremely underwhelming numbers.

I had a more-detailed argument typed up, but I accidentally hit the back button on my mouse :(

ahh darn, Cgy out in 7.

Too bad Ellis wasn't available think he could of made a big difference. Good luck to the remaining teams in the playoffs. hoping dissapeared players now show up in off season. Otherwise allot of changes needed in Calgary

The Buffalo Sabres would like to congratulate the Montreal Canadiens for their 1st round victory and wish them luck in the rest of the playoffs. We feel that had we not sustained all those key injuries right before the playoffs, we could've made it somewhere. But congratulations to the Habs nonetheless.
