DeNiro
So couldn't the Canucks technically assign prospects to Peoria since they own the team? Or does the deal take affect after this season?
NuxFan09
BTW, Andersson hasn't been on the bench in a long while so it looks as if he may be injured again. Stefan Elliott gets a fortunate bounce back to him at the point and fires one in to get the Monsters within one. 3-2 Wolves.

NuxFan09
Scores!! Sterling gets his 2nd of the period as he didn't hesitate to blast one in close. 4-2 Wolves. I said elsewhere in another thread that Sterling is one AHL vet who absolutely deserves top line ice time ahead of any Canucks prospect. He seems to make much more of an impact than Haydar and is quietly on pace for more than 40 goals in a full season.Guy is a good shooter and a clutch one at that. He's the type of player who would be great to pair your offensive prospects with. Really wish, if Haydar is really that great in the Wolves' eyes, that Jensen could skate on a line with Sterling while Haydar anchors a line of his own. NuxFan09
Scores!! Hatrick - no, a NATURAL hat trick - for Sterling as he collected a loose puck off the boards, broke away and made no mistake in burying it! First time in 32 games the Wolves reach 5 goals in a game. The natural hat trick was also Sterling's 2nd of the year. 5-2 Wolves.
NuxFan09
Also, it's about time someone on the Wolves reached the 20 goal mark. Sterling did it his 36th game.

Hyzer
Lain wan some key faceoffs, as always, and played well defensively. He'll never really stand out offensively. At the very best, hopefully the Canucks get a Brian Boyle type player out of him. Jensen was pretty quiet at first but it seemed like after he assisted on the Vandermeer goal he started coming alive a bit. There was one shift in particular where he and his line (Longpre and Sweatt) were dominant on the puck and created several great scoring chances. Jensen is clearly a complimentary player and a finisher. I want to make it clear that this is not a BAD thing. Look at a guy like James Neal in Pittsburgh. He's a great player, scored 40 goals last year, but without Malkin he's been pretty quiet. This doesn't mean he's a bad player or anything, it just means he's a more one dimensional player whose main quality he brings to the table is that he can score goals and score lots of them when he's being given the puck. Jensen isn't putting up many points because it seems like he can't get anything going with his sub-par linemates and he's not the type of player that is necessarily going to create offense. Put him with a guy like Haydar in the AHL, or the Sedins in the NHL, and he'll instantly be more productive. His Cy Young-like season in the SEL is more proof that this is the kind of player he is: a shooter, a scorer.
Ihatetomatoes
nuxfan....appreciate your commentary. Makes it easy to follow our prospects. I agree with your Jensen scouting, will be a great winger for a setup guy. Could be great on the wing with Kassian (more of a setup guy) and Kesler (hard to peg kes, depends if he actually passes I guess). Or could be the one we're looking for for the Sedins... DeNiro
Archibald had a nice tilt tonight. He was throwing bombs and got the takedown too.
