As for Bernier, the guy is way too inexperienced and anything positive in his game is attributed to the team in front of him imo. I still dont get why teams dont just OFFERSHEET Bernier. Luongo Posted June 23, 2013 Share Posted June 23, 2013 Young goaltenders are always unproven until they prove themselves. We all start somewhere. If he gets traded and it works out for him as a starter, then he's not unproven any more. What's the big deal about this "unproven" tag? Of course a young goaltender is going to have more interest from other teams than a guy like Luongo, who has a bad contract and is 9 years older than him.
