  1. Butler was benched for "coaching reasons". Sure could've had him out there to at least stop a couple of key 3rd downs when we needed him most considering he is a great open field tackler
  2. Also kudos to Nick Foles. A guy known as a career back up, one of the better back ups in the league who can be a starter on some teams, almost retires due to losing interest and love for the game, comes back to Philly to lead them to the Super Bowl win and winning Super Bowl MVP
  3. Great game from both teams. Our defence lost us this one. Couldn't get off the field on 3rd down. Butler being benched entire game could've helped stop a couple of 3rd downs with open field tackles..
  4. Not possible when both teams are in the same conference. I'm thinking you're thinking about the AFC Conference game the year the Broncos won the SB?
  5. Please don't ever reproduce. If you do, I hope you don't kiss your kid(s) on the lips or else you'll be the biggest hyprocrite I've ever known. I'm so close to blocking out your posts it's not even funny. These past two weeks have shown your true character. You're the type of person who talks football and will always have to relate it to how the Patriots cheat.

  7. Despite knowing whats coming, as mentioned before, the players are the one executing it. Not the coaches. So if the an audible is made to adjust to neutralize the scheme/play, whats the point if a player can't make the necessary catch/yards needed. Same as putting pressure on a zone when you know where the ball is going. Players make the plays, which lead the franchise to success. Maybe it's all hearsay as to whether or not a brand new red zone play that was never filmed or executed on film was greatly countered. Maybe it's just great football IQ from the coaches and the players to recognize the situation they're in and what kind of play would happen and go against what the obvious play would be. Besides, Spygate started because the Pats were caught filming from somewhere where they weren't suppose to. You going to tell me that the other 31 teams in the league also didn't film other team's practices? Half time adjustments is all part of the game. Why do teams start out hot then crack under pressure and can't finish the game? Look at the Titans-Chiefs playoff game three weeks ago. Chiefs dominated the first half yet the Titans stormed back and won the game. You gonna tell me that they are also cheaters and they should be looked into as well? Whether you believe in his methods or not, he's clearly not showing any signs of slowing down. Year after year, he's putting up MVP numbers and always in the talk of being named MVP despite his age. Why can't other quarterbacks do the same? It's not cool to call out someone's kids like that. Don't go after family members. That's the ultimate sign of disrespect. Thank the Lord. I was mightily worried that I'd have to listen to those two dimwits twice a week. I don't mind Collinsworth but I can't stand the uninterested and monotonous Joe Buck.
  8. Pats fan aside, if it wasn't the Patriots in the SB, I'd still watch. Although I'll be watching it in the comfort of my home with a couple of friends
  9. I'm not going to debate about pre Spygate SB wins. I don't know the full context of it and the article brings a lot of light into it so we'll just go by what the article says. You do realize that ESPN was the one that started up Deflategate last year right? This article was published Sept 2015 so if they're resurfacing it again to stir up some more controversy, that's ESPN trying to get more clicks for money. Regardless of how a Super Bowl ends, a win is a win. Doesn't matter what the scoreboard says. Coaches can only do so much to game plan and call out the plays. The players are the ones that makes the plays. Whether or not the Patriots of the past knew what the play or scheme it was going to be, the players are the ones who have to execute it. For all we know, there could have been many plays where we failed to execute yet the Pats knew what to do to counter it. Regardless of what Martz mentioned, that was over a decade ago. Focusing on the now, it's all about football IQ and knowing the situation. Look at the Butler interception. NFL Films covered it pretty in depth on why the Pats succeeded on the SB clinching play. Also, Jeff Saturday never played for the Patriots by the way. Was basically a Colt for his entire career.
  10. Brady was told it was ok to destroy his phone after they investigated him saying the phone was no longer needed. THat's the only reason why he destroyed it. Media took it and blew it up to make it sound like he wasn't complying, which he was. Stick em and PEDS affect the game just as much as knowing the team's play. That's why there are audibles in the game. Only the elite players can identify and read defences/offence and switch the call within seconds of the snap. I don't know what you mean by barely winning Super Bowls when we've won 5 of the last 16 since Brady has been a starter. As far as I'm concerned, that's quite a few Super Bowls in comparison to other teams who only make it once and don't return to the big game until years later. Cheating or refs aside, any team would love to play in 8 Super Bowls within 15, 16 years whether they win or lose... Unless you're the Bills. You also do realize that half time adjustments are based on what your team is doing well/poorly at and how the other team is playing. No other team does it better than the Patriots because our coaching staff identifies weaknesses from the opposition in the first half and studies their tendencies and strengths to come out better in the second half. By the way, I did read the article and while some of it is true, it is ESPN after all and its ESPN fluff as per usual. They hate the Patriots more than anyone and it's pretty clear during the Deflategate scandal. Whether one or two refs decides to favour the Patriots is not anybody's problem except the official that chooses to do so. To me, being an official is a pretty tough job considering they get reviewed on a yearly basis by the NFL Officiating committee.
  11. I don't think league referees would risk their jobs and careers to be a part of a whole grand scheme of cheating for the Patriots. You're talking about an entire union of 100+ officials all willing to risk their jobs/careers as an NFL referee to help the Patriots win. Sounds a bit farfetched to me. Revenge game or not, more or less, it's a revenge game for the fans
  12. Basically don't play zone all game or he'll torch your D apart. Don't give him time in the pocket or he'll find someone open. Sounds easy but it's not. The combo of Fletcher Cox and Chris Long can create havoc and should be enough in your front 4 to pressure Brady
  13. I don't think media will downplay the Eagles as underdogs. The offence is nothing to discredit. I'm just wondering how we're going to shut down Agholor, Jeffery, Smith, and Ertz.. Nevermind the running game of Ajayi and Blount
  14. Depends on the team. I was definitely sweating the entire week leading up to this game against the Jags. We're off to another Super Bowl and each Super Bowl victory is always sweeter than the last one.
  15. That's the kind of response you get from BB when you ask him a football related question. He'll go on and on about someone or a team and you'll get to realize how much knowledge he has about the game and the respect he has for everyone involved
  16. If McD is leaving, wonder who fills in the void. One of the bigger offseasons for sure for the Pats
  17. Jags going to be tough. Expect Fournette to be limited and BB will force Bortles to make the plays to win a game. Most likely will have another situation on D where we'll have a QB spy majority of the game as we did last night on Mariota
  18. The only coach I can really see leaving is Patricia. BB and McDaniels aint leaving.
  19. That line is gonna drop the closer it is to Saturday. It definitely won't be that big of a blowout for sure. I'm thinking Patriots will win by one score. Won't be as big of a blowout as it seems. These aren't the Titans of the past in which we obliterated.
  20. I still miss Chandler Jones, Jamie Collins, and now recently Rob Ninkovich..
  21. Now you know how Vikings fans felt last year
  22. I'm very happy for all Bengals fans upon reading this.. Pats/Steelers game was up and down but the 4th quarter was an absolute thriller. Lot of people saying it should've been a TD but the rule made it pretty clear and video replay clearly showed he was falling while stretching for the goal line so he didn't complete the catch. Also pretty obvious the ball was touching the ground when he broke the plane so was a good call according to the rule but the rule needs to be amended quickly. Steelers had it with the missed INT with less than 3 mins to go or could easily just kick a FG and take your chances in OT.
  23. Rodgers ready to play on Sunday. Hopefully this wasn't a rush attempt to make the playoffs
  24. An unpatriotic start. Need to focus on tonight's win instead of next week
