still nothing? back to sleep. pfffffffffzzzzzzzzzzzzz
There is so nothing that nothing is happening.
And I like it. I want Miller to raise a Cup in Vancouver.

Right... So you know the truth, but professionals and the rest of the fanbase who uses logic to make decisions are wrong?
Sometimes, not all the time, the logic the fan base uses is as logical as a whale in the sky.

No, your starting premise was Linden actively hindered the rebuilding process for 3 years. Those are different things. Your blame is on Linden and Linden alone in this scenario. Can you provide any proof whatsoever that Benning and Aquilini were on board with a rebuild and Linden was the one who stopped that from happening? Linden was brought in because the team was slipping and the owners needed to appease the fanbase while they took one last shot at the cup with the twins. Can you provide any proof whatsoever to back up what you are trying to claim.
Linden then stepped down when he felt a rebuild was necessary after the window was gone. Benning and ownership didn't think so, which actively disapproves what you are attempting to argue. Hindsight shows Linden was entirely correct in that assessment. Several people and a few articles have been posted discrediting what you're saying and showing you can't recall how things played out correctly. I'm all ears to see what you can provide that isn't your word of mouth (since you have already showed you can make things up and claim them as true) that backs up your claim.
The day I believe the Vancouver media is the day the Canucks win the Cup.
Sorry bud.

I love when people instead of addressing points just start tossing insults, like that's a viable way of discussion.
The starting premise was that Linden didn’t want to activate a rebuild for the first three years of Benning’s tenure.
Apparently Drunken’s brains doesn’t remember that due to some fandomblinds on.
I’ve got other things to do.

Although most things you said here are not true. One that is true is Linden did not accept a rebuild until year 3. So in fact he did deny a rebuild. I remember him claiming that it wouldn't be fair to the Sedins' if they did a full blown rebuild. Not until the Sedins' were gonna retire was the retool in effect ,therefore he did waste a few years.
But that's the only thing that I agree with.
Giving up captaincy for the good of the organization is the epitome of being a leader. Not a douche factor.
Not delivering a cup is also not a douche factor.
Linden was the epitome of a leader. He wouldn't have been the NHLPA president if he wasn't.
The point was exactly that. That Linden refused to rebuild for three years.
That was the only point to be made.
However, I was personally pissed that Keenan came into the fold, that Messier came right after that, and that Linden gave his captaincy.
I don’t think Messier would’ve given up the Captaincy had the GM asked him so.
THAT. is leadership.
This culture also came around to Naslund when he said that the Captaincy doesn’t matter. Well, perhaps Naslund wasn’t the right player to captain the team then. He did “choke”.
This culture doesn’t add up to Cups.

Disagreeing with his management style does not make him a douche.
Should he become GM, that guy would sink the franchise into oblivion.

There are a few interesting RFA's not qualified that could help fill major holes on show-me deals or cheap contracts. Canucks offloading salary could help both restocking picks in 2023 AND still sign some good talent now available.
Miller has to either sign and Myers/OEL/Pearson/Dickinson/Garland traded or Miller has to go this week to scoop some young talent on the market
………………. or just make the playoffs with relatively the same team as other teams overpay for mediocre talent…………………

Life is good.
We need to re-up with JT, make a few tweaks and off we go.
Cup in 3 years.
Boom.
Love it.
That’s the way.

We will have a better EP and Brock out of the gate and the entire core will be one year more developed.
Podz will be able to take a bigger role and we added Kuz.
We are a lot better than some people think.
It's why I would keep JT and try to fix some of our problems with other moves.
Someone gets it.
Garland’s 4.950
Pearson’s 3.250
Dickinson’s 2.650
Myers’ 6.000
Poolman’s 2.500
Ferland’s 3.500 1yr left
Holtby’s 1.900 1yr left
Virtanen’s 0.500 1yr left
That’s where the potential reduction in Cap resides.
Not in trading Miller for spare parts and picks and then turning around and signing overpriced journeymen UFAs.

Is Minnesota any closer to winning the cup next year?
No. But they did make the playoffs.
We have to make the playoffs before we win the Cup.
I don’t know why this is a hard concept to get. Perhaps the Canucks fan base hasn’t seen the playoffs for so long they’ve collectively forgotten how it works…

I'm actually happy we have had this conversation. There is part of me that would have been sad to see Miller traded because I know what it's like to have your favorite player traded. Now that I know Me isn't a real fan and just a troll, I don't have to feel bad at all!
Oh I’m a fan of this team since 1994.
I saw them battle hard.
I loved Linden back then.
But when he gave up his Captaincy, that was the beginning of the end of the great legend that never was.
Then it was douchery et after douchery.
The Bure/ Linden fiasco
The Messier / Linden fiasco
The trade
Not wanting to rebuild
That lottery sit-in that made him look like a loser…
Many aspects of that man rubs the wrong way.

So is Bo a douche too?
Stan Smyl?by your rationale on that alone the NHL is filled with so many douchebag failures that it’s a joke of a league.
a real heart and soul captain surrenders the captaincy when they’re ordered to, despite every single ounce of loyalty and passion they have for their club. Are you actually trying to say Linden wussed out?!?
im gonna find and provide some articles with factual info to help broaden your knowledge on the Benning/Linden situation, if you’ll have it?
No one else. Just Linden.
Linden is a douche.
Same guy who predicted he’d win the draft lottery.
It’s an effin’ LOTTERY ya douche.
Left there, pouting, wondering how he lost…
Idiocy at its finest. Gambling really…

You're the worst fan on these boards. Full stop. No real Canuck fan would ever say that. Once Miller is traded I'm sure you'll love what ever team you become a fan of then.
Any nuggets of wisdom against the Twins?
The Twins have us incredible hockey and memories for generations to come.
