  1. I think this fact is lost on some. For me personally, this is the fun part. To sit back relax and enjoy the million different ways a team players/teams can have success/failures. How boring would the NHL be if it was one way for all. Agree about Ritchie, he could just as easily end up being Pyatt 2.0
  2. Not to mention Anaheim had the luxury of sending nick to the AHL. Something I think we can all agree would have benefited Jake greatly
  3. Not sure what I expected from a drunk thread, but Im sure I was expecting more pictures of Richard Bachman
  4. Ill touch on this first.. You could see the kid is a sweetheart, he looked so worried and almost sick when Richardson got hurt. And I love it! Shows he has a lot of character to him. And some of the nastiest sons I know are big teddy bears till they lace up the gloves and skates.. Then look out correct me me if in wrong that's the second injury caused this year by somebody having minor contact with Trammer. Kids a beast, loved him and how his situation is handled. hopefully those not liking the tough love jakes been receiving will see it's a tried and true method of sending messages, making players aware of what is required of them. Developing players takes a lot more than just... Here kid, here's some ice time so you can get some experience.
  5. Great points, and something for ppl to keep in mind... It's the HHOF not the NHLHOF.
  6. You don't just play a guy that admitadley showed up to camp out of shape. What kind of message does that send to the others? He will play when he's in shape, not before then. 3% body fat loss is a lot already, hopefully he is close and has learned from this. And I've been an open supporter of his since arriving, but I support doing things the right any more.
  7. Agreed.. Just found the bolded part funny as it sounds like broken English, say it with a Russian accent
  8. You need to just stop, that's a complete false statement. Your schtick is getting old. He actually said he thought he heard somebody in the bench call for a change! 13000 posts in a year and not a one useful.
  9. Don't misrepresent things to make your point... It was a miscommunication with the bench that led to the short shift not lack of endurance
  10. Well said Deb. I'm one that believes real estate agents only care about the green that lines their pockets. The most overplayed job in the world. No skills needed, just an active market.
  11. First off rod, I wish you would read what your typing while thinking about how the person reading it will perceive it. There's a reason real estate agents and lawyers have such "snake in the grass" As for the highlighted part... No this market is NOT a blessing for sellers.. Unless those sellers are moving to Nova Scotia! Because to repurachase something local they have to pay the ridiculous prices we are paying now. My home value went up 160,000 last year. Does me no good as everything else overpriced. This is is where you need to get things clear. The only people making any money on this are people like you and the investors. So no wonder you will sit there on your horse and tell @debluvscanucks.. Times change, blah blah blah.. But Deb and folks like myself care about the future generations of British Columbians being able to have acces to affordable housing. I love over how you perceive sky rocketing housing prices as progress lol we understand communities will grow, but housing prices climbing over 30% per year is unstastainable and when it crashes the only people who will hurt are those families that you "help" you will have all your commission and the investors will have pocketed enough not to feel a thing.
  12. I'm curious to know how folks feel about millionaires moving to our country from a country with a falsely propped dollar supporting their "millions". Which if their currency wasn't fudged would not be worth near what it is now? These millionaires are then able to buy up property to use as rental income. To to me this is one of the big problems that never gets discussed. Why do we let so many Chinese millionaires move here and push the population of people born and raised in the GVRD out? Thoughts?
  13. Don't let it get to you, there is just an over abundance of negative Nancy's on here. I prefer to be a glass half full kinda fan.. I can see the realities, but why just focus on the negative all the time? Gets old reading it but don't worry they are the minority.
  14. Well said and very correct. The average humans peak for physical strength starts around 30 (of course professional athletes will take a few years off of that. That's why there is always the joke about "man strength". As far as the endurance side of things as humans we continue to grow as we challenge our physical endurance. Marathon runners will attest to the fact that in their 40s they have a ton more in the tank than in their 20s. It decades of pushing your limits of endurance that program your body.
  15. Take what these people are saying with a grain of salt. This is more of a sandbox game and people like Monty were expecting one of the games like he mentioned.. Somebody who has only played this game for 20 hours has no clue. This game is way to big to get the bulk of it that fast. If one doesn't have experience with sandbox style games they may be disappointed with this title. Personally I give it an 8/10 and I've been alpha/beta testing for over a decade... If you go into this game expecting it to be something it's not, you can't blame the game can you?
  16. Don't be surprised.. And you can include Pierre McGuire to that list as well. The thing that makes both these guys great at analyzing is they aren't homers. Where as guys like Odogg and the likes have their head so far up Torontos rear they can't see the deals for what they are, they are programmed to hate the Nucks!
  17. Totally agree I'm very interested to see how much this will help Edler. Not playing above your abilities can do huge things for your play and confidence.
  18. Brock is Beasting!  UND! UND!

  19. I'm not young nor old, I was happy when this cut came back because I've been wearing it on and off for 20 years lol was popular back in high school too lol.. His age group is stealing my styles! Now these dudes with the beards.. Ugh next thing you know everybody will be wearing plaid.. Wait what?
  20. There is nothing wrong with Deniro saying what he said.. We all have to be accountable for what we say. Don't worry though he doesn't handle it any better than you do
  21. Yup exactly why he's here, it'll give him a great grasp on what he needs to do.. Hoping he stays so training staff and some of the guys can help him adjust and feel truly at home. as far as jet lag, I'm sure you all can remember the importance Hockey Canada put on getting the players there as early as possible to allow for the maximum adjustment period. It takes time to adjust to that big of a difference. Sleep clock adjustment food etc. No need to rush. Really looking forward to seeing him, not just for the hype.. Just excite for another one of our picks to get a shot!
  22. That's because today's generation (generally speaking). Isn't willing to work for anything and expects things to either be perfect or expects thing to come easy. The key to a successful marriage is finding that special somebody you want to go to hell and back with If you believe there is no option for divorce it forces you to work through things, for better or worse. I'm much too young to sound this damn old! lol
  23. Got married at 22.. Ain't nothing wrong with that. I've been lucky enough to live a pretty special life since then. If you marry the right woman, THAT is living. The greatest gift of all
  24. This is where having a guy like hammer around to finish off the year is a good thing and more valuable than a 3rd. He will help Tram feel comfortable, and will also help him temper the expectations and pressure being put in him. Who knows better than Hammer how fickle the media and fans can be around here.
  25. This eludes to how important it is to have some vets in the lineup. They will have him prepared Can hardly wait!
